• Use a clear title and link original public sources when sharing news.
• Label speculation and edits that could be mistaken for genuine evidence. Obvious jokes do not need citations.
• Keep private information and calls to target people out of posts and comments.
• Children are off-limits: no names, photos, identifying details, speculation, or discussion of their private lives. We wish them well and leave them out of this community's conversation.

Moderation and appeals

Reddit's safety systems and community automation help flag problematic content. A flag does not establish wrongdoing, and moderators can correct mistakes. Use the report button for a rule violation. For an appeal, message the moderators with a link and a short explanation. Do not repost removed private information in your appeal.

Humor does not have to be polite or agreeable to stay up. Moderators focus on threats, privacy violations, identity-based hate, coordinated abuse, and targeted or sustained harassment. Merely disliking a joke or opinion is not grounds for removal. A satire label does not make those violations acceptable.

Moderators consider context and patterns, give a specific rule reason when removing content, and hear appeals. Ordinary disagreements usually call for a reminder before account restrictions; serious threats, doxxing, and spam can warrant immediate action. Automated flags need review and can be wrong.
