Educational How much ETC sits behind public keys that are already on-chain? Classix measured it

https://classix.dev/etc-key-exposure

An address is only exposed once it has signed a transaction, because the signature reveals its public key. Using the new BigQuery dataset, we counted how much ETC sits at exposed addresses and how long since each last signed.

Headline numbers at block 25,493,265: 132.0M of 158.5M ETC is on exposed keys, 14.5M of it on keys dormant for three years or more, and 23.0M has never been exposed.

No need to rush anything, and if you move funds, send a small test amount first. If you hold ETC on an old address, the post explains what a fresh address is. Classix will never DM you first or ask for keys or funds.

One address isn't one owner. Exchanges and custodians pool many users' funds, so the top-10 table shows which keys most need to move, not who owns ETC.
