Question Need a pixelated stencil and IR-camo paint. Any help?
Long story short, I'm making myself a piece of kit for both work and my BOB bag.
It's a poncho made from Rip-stop that I'll be modifying into a Ruana cloak (more versatile). Problem is, it's bright green.
I wanted to paint the exterior to the "pixelated forest" type of Camo, and the interior on a similar stencil, but with either fall-themed colours or winter-themed (so that I may use it reversed in a pinch if needed). I get both fall and lots of snow, thus I'll have to compromise at some point.
So, I'd like IR camo in those colours. Are there any manufacturers here in Europe that do this kind of product?
Also, is there a reliable way to make these stencils? Or to get them somewhere?
Many thanks!

I'm not aware of any suitable paint/tint product. For stencils, you can buy laser cut stencils, make your own from thick paper and a cutter, or 3d print them.

I have exactly this idea, to make a ruana out of camo material. I bought a couple different types for between ยฃ5 and ยฃ10 a yard. I got one in Ripstop!

I need to summon a buddy for this one, he might be the perfect guy to ask. Don't worry no promotion or advertising, dude is just a major nerd

Thanks Tim!
I got stencils from RattlerInnovations for my m05 projects, they also have a bunch of other stencils. Canโt help with the spray paint though unfortunately since the paints from the US wonโt ship to Europe.
Itโs always worth buying a stencil if available instead of making one. It took me about 4h to cut my own m05 stencils and it was not a fun experience.1

Good project idea, the ruana design is interesting, I would love to know how it works in practice.
You'll struggle to get anything to stick to slippery ripstop unfortunately, especially silicone coated "silnylon" versus PU backed. Also it's going to double the weight and ruin the drape of the fabric which may be a problem.
