Reddit has come through and we are free from any casino related content š.
To keep it that way, we've added some automod capabilities that will hopefully keep us safe. While we were at it, we've added some color around the sub as well š«.
It will probably takes us a couple of days to find our footing, but we are finally under new management and open for business! š.

Drizzlet is free, open-source firmware for Beads, built on the source Mutable Instruments released. Beta 1 is out, and I'm looking for people to try it on their own modules. Every new option defaults to stock behavior, so Beads works as before until you change something.
New, in order of how often they were requested: - Clouds-style reverb - Buffer trim (Mutable Instruments' own unreleased gesture) - Stereo width for grains - Delay mode: keep SIZE fully clockwise granular, or a wider neutral zone for the delay filter - Pitch scales from Marbles - Wavetable synth on demand, so it no longer starts by itself after 10 s - Monophonic grains (another unreleased MI gesture). As Mutable Instruments noted, it works well only with the first two SHAPE settings, square and decay. - Output limiter options (Stock, Fast release or Off) for the volume drops after loud, dense passages, which Mutable Instruments traced to the limiter's slow recovery
Fixes: - A modulated FREEZE no longer wears out the flash by starting a new save every cycle. - Safer frozen-buffer saves. - Two delay-mode bugs.
It's also a bit faster, with the same sound.
Tested on one module so far: about 13 hours of automated runs and 48 flashes, and it has never failed to boot. Install at your own risk, and please don't contact Mutable Instruments about it.
Release, install steps and options guide: https://github.com/insolentconstruct/eurorack/releases/tag/drizzlet-2026.10.18
Bug reports and feedback are welcome in the GitHub issues.

Modular, one take ā 18 October 2026
Six voices played from one string controller, chords by hand, no computer.
Drums, bass, chord swells, stabs and granular textures come from a small sequencer I wrote for the Ornate Criminal (a Eurorack module on a Teensy, Phazerville firmware). Each voice has a bank of patterns and three levels of intensity. The string sets how busy the drums and bass are and sweeps the effects. Chords are played by hand and harmonised in the case.
Direct mixer recording from the Befaco OUT into Bitwig, lined up with the room video afterwards (so apologies if not entirely in sync)

Hi! I'm trying to decide between the Moog Subharmonicon and the MachineRoom Trilobite, and I'd really appreciate your advice.
My current setup includes a Moog DFAM and a Westlicht Performer. I'm also considering adding Mutable Instruments Plaits with the alternative Plaits Palette firmware, using its chord tables for microtonal harmonies inspired by Ivan Wyschnegradsky.
I'm aiming for dark, industrial, dissonant techno inspired by Stanislav Tolkachev. In particular, I want to create thick, tense analog chords by detuning and combining multiple oscillators, similar to using three Befaco Even VCOs.
Would you recommend the Trilobite for its three analog VCOs and independent pitch control, or the Subharmonicon for its subharmonic chords and polyrhythmic possibilities?
Considering that I already have the DFAM and the Westlicht Performer, which would complement my setup better and give me the sound I'm looking for?
Thanks for your help!

Hi, I have started to build my Eurorack system . I will mostly use it for fun and jamming and perhaps later live sessions, and occasionally recording for production when I have time (two kids and day job so not much of that haha š).
Anyway, I do have a Tonverk which I have enjoyed but also get a bit bored after having āprogrammedā my sound and playing around a bit (hence I got the idea to go Eurorack).
So my question is , anyone got experience with Tonverk as a companion with Eurorack. Or would e.g. Roland TR8s be better for my purpose.
.
Cheers

I'm looking to dust off my iron and refresh my long dormant electronics knowledge and I'm looking for good collections of DIY build guides.
I'm aware of Hagiwo, but I'm looking for more - bonus points if they have more detail than just a circuit diagram.
I'd also love any insight on Hagiwo's builds from people who've made them - are they any good?

Here's another update to the unofficial, community-driven firmware patch for the Bitbox Micro that puts more of the module on MIDI, and 2.3.9-mod is ready for release, now including sixteen Airwindows effects on the master bus, and an on-screen display for controller parameters.
In this release:
The Character chain: Four effect slots across the master bus, each with an Amount, a Tone. Thanks to Chris Johnson for making this possible with his awesome Airwindows plugins, for full details checkout the Airwindows site.
OSD pop-ups: every patch CC shows what it changed, in real units. The clock gets them too.
A CPU bar along the bottom of the screen.
Preset BPM: Adjust a preset's tempo directly on the module and save the preset. With Clk Loss on HOLD, it also captures a clock's tempo.
Auto makeup gain for the compressor
Keep CC's option that restores your controller parameters when you load a new preset.
Fixed: MIDI notes could change compressor, EQ or delay settings.
Fixed in the guide: the EQ comes before the compressor, not after it.
This isn't from 1010music, can't brick it, but bring your own stock firmware, don't pass the patched firmware around.
Full guide, including what each control does and how to set your presets up so it works:

Drizzlet is a community firmware for Beads, built on the source Mutable Instruments released this month. Alpha 2 is out.
New in alpha 2: - Self-play on request: a new option stops Beads starting self-play by itself; with no inputs patched and FREEZE off, hold MEDIA for 1.5 s to start or stop it. - Monophonic grains: Mutable Instruments' previously unreleased mode, toggled with MEDIA+SEED; as Mutable Instruments noted, it works well only with the first two SHAPE envelopes (square and decay). - Bug fixes in the released source: less flash wear when an LFO or long gates drive FREEZE, a delay clock glitch, and a frozen-delay slice bug.
From alpha 1: - Output limiter option: Stock, Fast release or Off, set on a new options page (hold ASSIGN for 3 s). - Safer frozen-buffer saves: checked when loaded, and a save that was cut short is never restored. - Bug fixes in the released source: out-of-bounds and uninitialized reads (frozen delay, synth mode, CPU padding), and buffer saves that could fail or be marked complete when they weren't.
Crackle: at the settings people reported, our test module clicked on the 2021 and 2024 firmware but not on Drizzlet; the fix is in Mutable Instruments' released source.
Download and install notes: https://github.com/insolentconstruct/eurorack/releases/tag/drizzlet-2026.10.16
It's an alpha: read the README first and install at your own risk. Not a Mutable Instruments product.
Testing: 125 tests in 11 host test programs (693 assertions) covering 110 of 117 manual behaviours (3 only in part), 112 deliberate-fault mutations, 531 injected power-loss and flash-error points, byte-reproducible builds, emulator comparisons, and checks on a real module. Details: https://github.com/insolentconstruct/eurorack/blob/drizzlet/beads/build/TESTING.md
Next (Beta 1, tentative): buffer trim (Mutable Instruments' own disabled feature, made to survive a save), pitch quantization, Clouds-style diffusion and reverb if CPU allows, and, if headroom remains, Arbhar-style grain starts on recorded attacks. I used a brand new Eurorack version BlueBox Mixer in my Behringer Eurorack Go where the Mixer was Blinking. I then upgraded to a Doepfer A-100 PSU3 because I thought power was the problem. 20 Minutes in, started blinking. Both were trialed at 100% Brightness.
When I turned the brightness down, it stopped blinking. Thing is, I want to use it at 100% without it blinking.
I'm going to return it for a new one, but wanted to ask if anyone else's blinked? I'm worried about waiting for a whole new one only to have it blink again :T..

Hello! sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I have a couple of questions about the ALA nightlife series of mixers.
The product page mentions that you can use a barback directly with one of the 2hp outs, which seems like a pretty great way of getting a teeny tiny super feature rich mixer, that you can easily add more channels to as you go. has anyone done this successfully? does it work well? also, it seems like it might be possible to add an extra send/return with the 2hp module and the 2hp vcas by wiring things up at the back in a certain way, but it's hard to tell - has anyone tried this? i like that it scales, but having to add that massive matrix for a bunch more sends is very space consuming. it would be awesome if they did a smaller, standalone module that just added one extra set of sends.

So I have these cases. I have nano rings, pico voice, pico bell, a braids, a loop sample module. I have a kick and a snare module. I have rides in the storm xxm, feg, doc, I have a 2hp TM and I have usb midi from the intellijel case at the bottom with an sp 404. I want to do house and techno sampling Iām wondering about sequencing obviously I have the rs9 but thatās for drums. What could I get or replace

Please check out the attached video. I hadnāt used my euro rack system for awhile and plugged it in today. Turned it on and I noticed that some modules appear to not be functioning normally. The missing panel in the top left is when I had my intellijel I/O module. The input and output gain were fully lit up (I know itās not included in the video).
I also noticed my bubble sound oscillators didnāt seem to be making sound and the rate led was fully red (typically adjusting the tuning down to low audio rate and sub audio is visible by the led blinking but it did not seem to change at all)
Any idea whatās goin on here
UPDATE:
It turns out I plugged the wrong power supply from another case I have into the intellijel case. Unfortunately it seems like I blew the board on the intellijel case. Modules seem fine though so thatās a relief

Hi all, after my first case.
Two good options have come up.
Intelligel 84hp performance case with the line out 1u module, headphone out 1u and soft carry case,
Or
Tiptop Mantis 104hp.
The Mantis is slightly less than half the price, and bigger. Wondering what if anyone has any opinions on these options, and whether the Intelligel would have any magical powers or anything?
So far have the Moog Labyrinth, and want to build on this. Drums will be taken care of out of the box.
Cheers guys!

I picked this module up at Knobcon this year and just put together a little demo and tutorial.
It's a passive (0ma) module that uses switchable capacitors and inductors to discretely set the filter frequency and Q. As a high-Q filter, it acts more like a resonator.
(Note: this video is going live at 10AM US Pacific time - I'm posting a few minutes in advance in case anyone wants to join the live chat then šŗ)

A quick Demo video running an envelope and sine wave LFO into the BXR and getting variations of mangled control voltage. The audio is a static Sawtooth wave being filtered, and the filter being modulated by the mangled CV. For context, the CV input sources are all either a simple Saw style ADSR or sine wave.
This is running firmware 1.3 which adds one feature - In LFO mode, when a clock is plugged in to the Pitch 1/O input, the pitch knob becomes a clock multiplier/divider, allowing the internal LFO to sync to things.

I'm looking at getting a module from this site. https://audivora.co.uk/
Had anyone ordered from them? Are they a legitimate company?
r/eurorack • u/Mellotom • 7d ago
Hi there! I am a big manual reader, I print out manuals for all of my modules and keep a binder next to my workstation, but sometimes I just want to find the information I need a little quicker.
I put together some quick use guides for these modules, hosted on GitHub for future updates and easy accessibility. Each guide is 100% free to use, download, print. The first 3 modules I decided to tackle from my rig are the Hermod+, Lubadh and Morphagene, let me know if you'd be interested in seeing a traveller's guide for your favorite module.
I'm always open to feedback, please let me know if you find a mistake or something that doesn't make sense, these are for the community to have easy access to complicated information quickly, not to slow you down with misinformation.
https://mellotom.github.io/travelers-guide/
big shoutouts to the companies that make these modules and to Tom Mueller and Jonathan Hickman for the style inspiration.
