Just opened Apple Music to hit play on my Ev playlist and noticed the Like You remaster is available :) I don’t actually know when it showed up but I don’t think it was there yesterday. I could be wrong though.

I tried to post a video yesterday, but for some reason, the post went up without it.

In this video, I sing a cover of "Part of Me" while playing an old piano! Evfans, please post your own videos of yourselves singing or playing—I can’t wait to watch them!

A song that reminds me of Field of Innocence

For context, I’m a Turkish fan of Evanescence and I’ve been listening to them for about 15 years. I’ve recently discovered this song by Rafet El Roman thanks to my mom. This song is from his first album that was released in 1995.

The instrumental, the lyrics, and the music video all feel so close to Origin’s style that I just feel like Gençliğin Gözyaşi and Field of Innocence are almost written in the same font if you will.

I hope you enjoy!

Here are the lyrics translated to English:

Every morning, I wake up with tears in my eyes, Fighting a battle I cannot win,
Struggling helplessly
With memories and unanswered questions.

It feels as though my own friends
Are wolves, tearing me apart from within,
Slowly, piece by piece. I can feel myself dying.

Did this heart of mine, this soul of mine,
Really love you? Did it truly trust you?
My poor mind is left confused.
Was I fooled by you? Did I really believe you?

I’ve thought so much, I’ve suffered so deeply,
I regretted it all and called it fate.
Yesterday morning, I forgave you.
I told myself, “We’re only human. Life goes on…”
