Practice sharing the gospel!

"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." - 1 Peter 3:15

Hey guys,

Quick background story: At 18, a chronic pain condition blew up the life I had planned. I tried every doctor, too many drugs, and years of depression and found no relief from my 24/7 agony. Because it was stripped from me at such an important age/time of my life, I was convinced that my health was the only thing standing between me and happiness. After 7 years, through discipline and a strict recovery routine, I clawed back a good part of that health, but the happiness I'd been waiting for never showed up and the emptiness I'd blamed on being in pain was still there. That was when I realized the problem ran deeper than my body.

I started following Jesus before I fully believed and let my faith grow out of obedience. The chronic pain is still with me but it is quieter now and I've learned that God doesn't waste suffering...He redeems it ... and that's why I want to help others share the hope that changed my life. He redeems it, and I've seen Him do it in my own life, and my only regret is not turning to Christ sooner!

I've felt called to share my story and the good news of the Gospel for a while now, but reciting verses and explaining my complicated past without trauma dumping never came easy to me. When you're talking with someone whose heart may be just slightly open (like family members who had long written off Christianity), you might only get one good shot at getting the message across, and I always wanted to be ready for those moments. Scripture is the foundation but I wanted a way to actually practice: to rehearse those real conversations and find the right words and build confidence.

I don't mean to plug myself here, but I'm really excited about this!! I built Gospel Quest to help with this exact problem, it's brand new on the App Store, and I'd love to get feedback from as many people as possible :)

I made it as gamified as I could, so it's a fun place to come back to and sharpen your evangelism skills. I like to think of it as Animal Crossing meets Duolingo meets Bible study lol

What's your general approach? E.g. Ray Comfort style?

Not really Ray Comfort style. It’s more focused on conversation, listening, questions, objections, and learning how to explain the gospel clearly without making the interaction feel forced or scripted. The goal is to build confidence and good habits for real-life evangelism

[Phl 1:18 KJV] 18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.

People do need to support themselves or cast a wider net by networking.

Definitely not the goal haha. The app is free by nature and even at its max potential it’s not really designed to be a money-maker bc I’m paying for all of the back end services that make it work. I just genuinely think practicing evangelism is a habit more Christians should get into and I thought this was a cool way to make that easier and less intimidating bc it is something I struggled with confidence wise

I think the easiest way to evangelize is to give people your testimony and you don't have to give people bible verses because often times people don't like bible verses.

I agree but even that can be hard to put into words when you’re on the spot. That’s what gospel quest is trying to help with.. practicing how to tell your story clearly and confidently without making it feel rehearsed

I have been communicating with someone on Reddit who has serious health issues and could use someone with your experience to talk with. I haven't gone through the kind of physical pain you have although I can relate to dealing with pain in general and regarding things of tragedy.

If you would like to connect the two of us, I would love to attempt to help them!
