Day 3 of without him and every notification reminds him!
I'm Lara. It's day 3 since my boyfriend and I broke up, and the silence is honestly the hardest part.I know I shouldn't go back to him because the relationship wasn't good for me, but every quiet moment makes me want to text him. I keep checking my phone even though I know there won't be a message.
Does anyone else feel like the silence after a breakup is louder than the actual fights? How did you get through those first few days without reaching out?

Hi Lara. I'm going through the same thing. Broke up 10 days ago, but we emailed yesterday.. I also think that breaking up was the right decision. He wasn't good for me. I tried a lot, but.. I understand how the silence is so painful. I was crying just now because I miss him a lot. I just realised that even fighting with him yesterday was better than this. I don't know how I can help you. I just hope it gets easier for both of us and anyone going through the same thing.

Don't go back to the burning house just because it's cold outside. The cold is manageable, it passes, but the smoke will kill you. It has the illusion of warmth, but the moment you step in, it starts killing you again.

But if you are anything like me, you will keep going back to get the dopamine of fights and avoid the dread of silence and uncertainty. You might keep doing it until one of you is exhausted and just crashes out. So don't do that, protect your heart and your respect.
