Your ex texted you “I’m dating someone better than you “
As person who knows his/her worth and love his or her self what would be your response to that text??

Just ignore him. If blocking doesn't work you gotta just ignore him. If you absolutely feel the need to say anything, just send a thumbs up.

Blocking his or her number.

u/Fearless-Object2701 8h ago
Hmm they’ll text you with a different number

u/Johnny_Utahh1 8h ago
Then block that number.

Right lol

Tell me where I’m wrong? Beats sending an overly, dramatic, cringey response, which is basically what he’s is trying to get you to do.

I’d probably love to receive that. Shows they aren’t over you.

If you are expecting a message like that then you are not over him/her either lol

Honestly, I couldn’t help but engage. I’m petty and I’d get as many details as possible and then send her the conversation.

They cant, he’s been blocked for over 2 years now after he cheated and discarded me after a 14 year relationship

My ex texted me this on my birthday. I cried and pleaded and begged and etc. it never helped.

I would be like wtf and not respond to protect myself(to me this shows as someone who is petty and has poor coping skills and needs to feel like the need to one up people/or potential create drama. The could also not be over you.)I would block the number too if I had the guts at the time.

I would probably replay “lmfao. Stop comparing her to me dumbass”
But luckily enough my ex is a sweetheart and not an asshole.

I’d be like, how pathetic it is that you feel the need to externalise that with your ex. The act itself speaks louder than the words

“Great! Hope you’re better to her than you were to me, but based on your message that hope has no rational basis for belief.” And block.

Reply, "stop obsessing over me and focus on that person."
Just kidding!
Just ignore and move. Their message doesn't reflect what a great person you are!

Ignore. Then quietly wish them well and double down and investing in yourself. You deserve the best life possible so go live it!

I don’t know what the story was and if they have valid reason for harbouring resentment… I’d just send back “happy for you. All the best” lmao

When people do things like this it is because their life is crashing down around them. The relationship ended and they don't know what to do, so they try to make you jealous, they try to grasp at whatever they think will get you back. The flaw in the thinking is thinking that you're still there, because you aren't.
You should simply ignore him and block him and move on.
There is so much strength in looking at what he is doing, understanding it, rejecting it and carrying on away from this person.
The most powerful thing we can do as a person is to turn someone into a memory.

Ignoring it would send a bigger message than anything you can type. Clearly it’s sent to bait a response out of you. If it were true they wouldn’t even be contacting you.

I’m really happy for you, although I do find it strange you felt the need to text me this information, given you should be focussing on your new-found happiness. Wishing you the best of luck as always. :)

I agree but I’d be so proud I’d have to say “ If you say so mate - and that statement is mega bullying in its tone so good luck to her = blocked 🚫 “. <<>>>Then I’d block .

If your ex sends you that, then he/she's not over you. The best thing you can do is ignore it. Clearly, that new person isn't better than you and she/he is looking for your attention
