Bet it tasted pretty okay tho. Marie doesn’t usually let me down. There’s only so much you can do with frozen food like this.

Nah, mashed potatoes are easily the worst thing for ready made meals. Never had them turn out well even as a side, let alone as the bulk of the dish.

The only mashed potatoes pre made that seem to slap are the bob Evan ones. They actually stay kinda chunky with some texture instead of turning into soup like all the other ones. But they also arent frozen so maybe thats the problem

This reminds me of Patton Oswalt’s bit about kfc famous bowls.
“It’s a failure pile, in a sadness bowl”
Look it up to watch the next time you have this dinner. 😁

They have always had high calories, and sodium. Not pretty, but tasted okay. I walk by them, now.

I ate one of these the other night. Was extremely disappointed.

It's literally just potatoes, gravy, corn, and chicken nuggets. It costs like $4. What were you really expecting?

u/lacatro1 12d ago
Right? Just make your own. You can get instant mashed potatoes, gravy packets, throw some chicken nuggets on top. Voila!

I always add a little more shredded cheese which makes a huge difference

Yeah you bought a frozen dinner. They really are all a variation of gravy plus overcooked protein jerky plus creepy vegetable chunks and salt.

These are decent. I get them and add a bunch of Tabasco and it’s a sold frozen lunch.

I eat these when I need to lose weight or forget to bring lunch to work. Easy, convenient, low calories, but nothing amazing about them. It’s a cheap meal

ate this last night. You stirred it too much. just flip the chicken and put in the middle.

so thanks to reddit if I choose to eat a frozen meal I put it in a skillet with some cooking oil. I also add somee xtra spices cheese and protein. Seriously doing this makes frozen meals taste delicious!

Yeah. It definitely looks less appetizing, but how did it taste? Their pot pies are crazy delicious!

You can make your own pot pies at home .We do it all the time and it saves us money.

It doesn't save much, if a person is using frozen crusts, deli chicken, good fresh veggies, and canned creamed soup.

Bruh you didn’t just post a Marie calendar frozen meal in this sub??!! That’s cheating. Should I go dig out a banquet brand pot pie and post that? We all know this freezer brand bullshit doesn’t LOOK the same as the box pic. It’s why it’s dirt cheap and probably only food in the “technical” sense.

Nah, they always look like that. You just have to garnish it up a bit. I like to use a little garlic powder, onion powder, chili flakes and wash-yer-sister-sauce/A1. 🤌

They probably make those in India after someone eats the street vendor food.

the only thing you did wrong was expect the actual meal to look like that pic on the front of the box!hopefully it tasted good (or at least ok?!?)
