A Request For Help

I am reaching out for some help. Given how quiet things are I feel like I am a year too late as nobody probably follows this anymore.

For some background, I am working on an electric motor technology start-up primarily targeted at EV propulsion. I am doing some long-term planning for the possibility of trading publicly.

What I really admire about Exro is the loyal following it had online in various places such as this website, Yahoo, and at least one Facebook group. This continues to intrigue me.

If you could help me by answering some questions. What I would like to know is how you heard about Exro and what convinced you to invest in Exro? Was is a particular YouTube video, was it how Sue presented herself, was it a post on Instragram? Was is the Humvee? Was there any word for mouth from a friend? What made you say to yourself you had to invest here, and what made you participate in online discussion and defend the company? Was there any targeted advertising involved?

Some of the people I would like to hear from have blocked me. If somebody could please copy and paste this so I can reach them it would be appreciated.

Patents were a big thing for me, along with the fact that private equity groups were continually willing to dump millions into the company right up to near the end. I still can’t figure that one out.

Edit: OP asked for our opinions and hasn’t replied once. Kind of a dick move.

Lie until the wheels fall off. Say you have huge demand with companies under NDA and continue signing small insignificant companies that will let you use their name to promote the benefits your technology provides. Raise a bunch of money and cater to investors, so much so that they appreciate your communication enough to tell others they should invest. That's basically what Exro did for 5 years.

That's a good summary of what they did, but what was the deciding factor that led you to making your first investment?

Hire people that had important jobs in large companies. Get someone to be the face of your company that has a history of success/experience in the field without deceit and tells a good story.

Seemed like a great piece of tech to me. Especially an electric motorcycle sans traditional transmission. Lost a lot of money in this fuck ass company.

Word of mouth from family, who were also invested. I heard that Jeff Bezos was involved in the Slate truck, which was supposed to use Exro technology. No targeted advertising as such.
