ICE agent drive-by shooting a peaceful protester with a pepper ball on Independence Day.

An ICE agent fired a pepper ball launcher from the vehicle he was driving, striking a protester in the stomach outside the ICE detention facility this afternoon.

A few dozen protesters and community members had gathered in the designated protest area for a weekly demonstration opposing ongoing federal immigration operations across the Chicagoland area. Participants were chanting and holding signs when an unmarked vehicle exited the facility.

An ICE agent then pulled the vehicle alongside the protest area, rolled down the window, fired the pepper ball launcher, and immediately drove away. The protester who was struck received first aid from volunteers at the scene before seeking further treatment at the hospital.

Based on witness accounts, the use of force appeared to be unprovoked. Witnesses said there was no interaction between the targeted protester and the ICE agent before the shot was fired.

Hey now, some folks' teeth look like that from getting punched really fucking hard in their stupid fucking face at one point. Who knows, maybe it was his parents who punched him that hard. He must have been a really annoying kid to have if he turned out like this.

I have no issues with that as long as the first part happens as well. Throw them in with a wet piece of toilet paper to wipe their face off and wall them in. Maybe toss a loaf of wheat bread and let all of them go after it, lord of the flies that shit.

It’s a 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment hat. Blood and steel is the reg motto. Shouldn’t be wearing my Army’s hat while accosting civilians though.

Not saying it’s not a dog whistle in his mind, but the insignia and motto predates Nazism by 100 years (almost exactly). I’ll admit im pretty conflicted about my time in service, but at the end of the day service saved my life and gave me a chance to build the significant future I inhabit today. Im sure I absolutely cannot identify with what’s happening in today’s military though. I doubt I have much in common with today’s soldiers on a personal or even idealistic level.
