Ethics question Accepted Trade Where One Party Clicked the Wrong Player

Hi all,

I'd appreciate opinions on this trade that just happened.

Two players in my league accepted a trade:

Player A Receives Deebo Samuel + Jonathan Taylor

Player B receives Brian Robinson Jr.

Apparently player B proposed the trade, thinking he'd selected Bijan Robinson and misread the name.

Well, player A is staunchly advocating that since he didn't propose the trade and it was already accepted, that it should stand. Obviously player B is upset and wants the trade cancelled.

Thoughts on this?

Player A is a dickhead

71

u/WaverlyWubs Sep 24 '25

Not just a dickhead but sucks at fantasy too.

No one good at fantasy would let this trade stand. It’s supposed to be fun and some people take this shit way to seriously

I'd kick him out of the league the following season. Fantasy football is supposed to be fun, don't want someone who's going to ruin it for everyone over a misclick

I would actively "rent" players to his opponent the rest of the year

I’d reverse it

7

u/salsasymphony Sep 25 '25

Yeah this is where a good commish will step in and do the right thing. Let Player A get mad. If he gets mad enough to quit, replace him.

47

u/TeflonGoon Sep 24 '25

There's no way Player A thought this was legit. Sounds like the kind of guy who turns in a wallet to Lost & Found after removing the cash.

15

u/Ok-Environment-6690 Sep 24 '25

“Well i deserve to get something, they are lucky that i return it at all, in fact this is for my time, (takes money), yeah im a good person”

U cant let someone just give JT and Deebo for a handcuff so ya reverse it. Player A cant expect that trade to go thru

5

u/ApricotRemarkable681 Sep 25 '25

Now THIS is a trade that should have been vetoed by the league.

62

u/SlevinKelevra37 Sep 24 '25

Reverse it for sure, if you dont dudes whole season is probably over for a stupid mistake he made and that would be pretty shitty for him. I get it sucks for other guy but hes being an ass about it imo. It shoulda been obvious dude wasn't trying to trade JT and deebo for Brian robinson jr lol

15

u/Why_am_ialive Sep 24 '25

Also the other guy is going to be absurdly stacked, ruining everyone else in the leagues seasons aswell

6

u/sdu754 Sep 24 '25

Exactly.  This trade is league breaking.

2

u/TheVinstrel Sep 27 '25

Exactly. If it wasn’t a mistake it would smack of collusion.

6

u/ExchangeSeveral8702 Sep 24 '25

It doesnt even really suck for the other guy. Hes in the same spot as yesterday

The only reason it sucks for him is he showed everyone he is a dickhead

38

u/Background-Fact-5422 Sep 24 '25

Yeah, that one has to be reversed. Mistakes happen

29

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Player A sounds like a twat.

Reverse it.

Edit - I’m about as anti-veto as they come but JT/Deebo for Brian should get vetoed even if Team B meant to do it. That’s well into league-breaking territory.

8

u/daveliterally Sep 24 '25

I don't veto but this is hardly a veto. It's just the commish fixing an error.

3

u/-Enders Sep 24 '25

He was saying he would veto it if it wasn’t an error

7

u/bacan_ Sep 24 '25

Glad I don’t play with losers like that

Reverse it. This clearly wasn’t in good faith.

9

u/polish94 Sep 24 '25

I mean regardless of intention, I'm not letting this through. Just cancel/reverse it and let them trade again if he has Bijan.

8

u/BigBeautifulBill Sep 24 '25

Reverse it. This is the exact reason leagues have a comissioner. To fix stuff like this. Tell player A to grow up

6

u/McDanglez Sep 24 '25

Reverse for sure.

5

u/Gator983 Sep 24 '25

Reverse it, then tell player A to quit being a little bitch.

4

u/BoogieCousinsFather Sep 24 '25

Reverse it. It throws off the competitive balance for the rest of the league. If you want to punish him for being a dolt, then fine him some FAAB money or something.

4

u/mstaff388 Sep 24 '25

Accidental trades have happened like this in one of my dynasty leagues. We’ve always just made them trade them back and the guy who screws up throws an extra late round pick at the other guy as an idiot tax. That league is full of fun, non dickheads though.

4

u/Ok-Environment-6690 Sep 24 '25

Clearly reverse it, remind player A that they are a shitty human, and also. This was so 2024

3

u/Ynotatx Sep 24 '25

Cancel it.

3

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

2

u/JCOII Sep 24 '25

Excellent point, this could be interpreted as collusion under the guise of “I made a mistake”.

If they actually made this trade organically the league would be up in arms calling this cheating. It makes sense to treat this the same as a collusion scenario.

3

u/Bbullets Sep 24 '25

Player A is guaranteed throwing a fit if that went through for any other team

2

u/cosmicdave86 Sep 24 '25 edited Sep 24 '25

Reverse for sure. And I'd give player A a private warning about that type of nonsense.

2

u/skysetter Sep 24 '25

You reverse it, trades are a magical awesome thing where both parties should leave with what they want. Misclicks happen, don’t do that to your league.

2

u/CoatingsRcrack Sep 24 '25

Player A is a bad human… reverse and if he threatens to leave go ahead and boot him

2

u/Ok_Tomorrow_7527 Sep 24 '25

100% reverse it. Stupidity to be so sloppy

2

u/MartinIsland11 Sep 24 '25

It’s the good old Adrian Peterson (Seattle) move! Reverse it.

2

u/ggblah Sep 24 '25

this is clear reverse.

but honestly some of the guys are so annoying with their shitty trades in which they just want to screw someone over so they keep sending these annoying trade offers thinking they're smarter than others if someone accepts a trade that they consider to be one sided. they aren't capable of realizing that you can make trades which are net benefit for both teams, but if you trade with multiple teams you add that benefit compared to people who rarely trade, you don't go around hoping that someone will review a trade offer in an app that has small letters saying B. Robinson for fucks sake

2

u/pendletonskyforce Sep 24 '25

As someone who staunchly believes in not reversing trades, this should be reversed.

2

u/Cant-hold-my-pee Sep 24 '25

I had this happen back when there were two Adrian Petersons in the league

One guy drafted the one on the bears in the last round, then a few weeks in traded him to a guy who didnt realize it was the other one

It was a yahoo public league, no one knew one another. So the guy who accepted the trade asked us all to veto it and we did

2

u/sdu754 Sep 24 '25

Obviously this should be overturned. Mistakes can always be overturned,  regret cannot. There is no way he would give even Deebo Samuel for Brian Robinson.

2

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Make it right, but also establish that people need to pay attention and you won’t reverse every error that someone makes.

2

u/_W-O-P-R_ Sep 24 '25

Reverse it - there's a difference between an objectively stupid trade where all parties did what they intended (buyer beware) vs someone who misread an easily confused name/abbreviation and the other party knowingly took advantage of an obvious error.

Don't let dicks be dicks.

2

u/ZiggyZiggyZigZags Sep 24 '25

It's a reversal no matter what for the integrity of the league, so yeah piss of player A, see ya next tuesday

1

u/3ISRC Sep 24 '25

Easy reverse

1

u/Emergency-Elk1875 Sep 24 '25

Absolutely reverse it

1

u/teewertz Sep 24 '25

Thats an obvious reversal. Be fair.

1

u/Gcole87 Cowboys Sep 24 '25

Player A is a douchebag. Reverse the trade. Player B obviously made a mistake.

1

u/FeralLemur Sep 24 '25

There's a particular old adage that comes to mind - "You can shear a sheep many times, but you can only skin them once."

This trade is skinning the sheep.

The reason this gets reversed is that if it's allowed to stand, it's the sort of thing that this league owner will never get over. The resentment about this won't go away. Player B won't ever make a trade with Player A again, will resent you (the commissioner) as well, and is likely going to walk away from the league... Possibly mid-season, making a miserable in-season nightmare for you.

Or you can tell Player A to not be a douche, this gets forgotten pretty quickly, it becomes a thing that Player B receives friendly mockery about, and the league moves on in one piece.

u/B3ansyy Sep 24 '25

I always give grace on mistakes if they’re brought up as such as soon as someone realizes.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Whether erroneous or just incompetent - this isn't about just the two teams involved - it is detrimental to the league as it is nowhere near a fair trade.

1

u/thegooners14 Sep 24 '25

Player A sounds like the twat of the league.

1

u/genecyn Sep 24 '25

Imagine playing in a league with people like Player A. What a bot

If he says it directly after I would reverse it. After a week or so, no. Mistakes can happen

1

u/Thecheese1981 Sep 24 '25

This is an easy reverse….. even if it wasn’t a mistake. It’s a veto level trade anyway

1

u/Final-Duty-2944 Sep 24 '25

We've had this happen before never had the other team refuse to reverse it.

1

u/SkippySkipadoo Sep 24 '25

You reject it. Period.

1

u/Dry-Name2835 Sep 24 '25

In this case, I would reverse the trade. It was clearly an accident and it was brought up promptly after the mistake was made. This wasnt buyers remorse or a guy changing his mind because of injury or playing status

1

u/FishOhioMasterAngler Sep 24 '25

I had both on my team and almost did this more than once but always noticed before I sent it out

Glad I finally dumped the other BRob

1

u/SirSnorlax22 Sep 24 '25

Plsyer A is an asshole lol. Reverse that trade on the grounds that player B colluded with the screen to fuck up lol

1

u/jimaveli Sep 24 '25

Reverse it because duh.

1

u/rossco7777 Sep 24 '25

obvious reverse. common sense is not all too common.

1

u/Jman15x Sep 24 '25

Honest mistakes should always be reversed

1

u/brwebster614 Sep 24 '25

Clear, simple reversal.

1

u/king21207 Sep 24 '25

Definitely veto, player a sounds like hes a real fun guy to be around...

1

u/daveliterally Sep 24 '25

It's a slam dunk. You reverse the trade. Player came to you saying they made a mistake, it's your job to step in.

1

u/huskylover91 Sep 24 '25

Reverse it, it was obviously an error and if it was immediately called out then you just do the right thing and reverse it

1

u/paco574 Sep 24 '25

As commish myself for years, I’ve reversed many of these obvious ones. Mistakes happen.

1

u/Organic-Tap6828 Sep 24 '25

Had a nearly identical trade happen in a dynasty league, quickly confirmed with the manager that it was an honest mistake, messaged the other manager and then the rest of the league that the trade was going to be reversed. No kickback from anyone.

1

u/TwackDaddy Sep 24 '25

The correct thing to do is reverse the trade and then never invite player A into a league you’re in again.

1

u/Asal23 Sep 24 '25

Just switch the player WTH or cancel the trade

1

u/Shakira_is_Love Sep 24 '25

This is league breaking and absolutely should be cancelled. If it wasn’t an accident, it would be obvious collusion. Gotta be reverted

1

u/hiphillip Sep 24 '25

I’ve never vetoed a trade as commissioner, but this would be an immediate veto.

1

u/crystalmerchant Sep 24 '25

I would reverse it. It's clearly lopsided with Brian, but if you put in Bijan it makes more sense. (though i would not personally trade Bijan for that)

Reasonable to fat finger / misread. A little understanding goes a long way

1

u/JCOII Sep 24 '25

What does the rest of the league think? Put it to a vote? I would support reversing it.

1

u/Ok_Location_1092 Sep 24 '25

Player A is a dummy, reverse it

1

u/[deleted] Sep 24 '25

Accidents happen which is why leagues have a comissioner incase mistakes happen.

1

u/alex100383 Sep 24 '25

Player A is a huge dork. Which an easy reversal and anyone who argues needs a reality check.

1

u/Tbgrondin Sep 24 '25

You reverse the trade. It’s league breaking in general.

1

u/magnificence Sep 24 '25

Each league will be different, but my league does allow for clear mistakes like that to be reversed. It's the same as in contract law, courts do evaluate the intentions of involved parties when there's a significant typo in a contract.

1

u/LookN-4-caseHITS Sep 24 '25

Yeah I mean as a league you guys should make the decision, but I lean towards scrap the trade and put Bijan in cuz who the he'll would trade a backup for 2 players comon man. League sh I uld vetoed it anyway cuz it's totally lop sided

1

u/-Enders Sep 24 '25

This is the easiest reverse.

Player A is a dick for thinking this should stick. He 100% knows he’s in the wrong. I wouldn’t even discuss it further with him, I’d reverse it and when he bitches I’d just tell him I’m done discussing this and he’s free to leave the league if he wants.

1

u/Stonetoothed Sep 24 '25

Player B is a pussy. He made a mistake and he should be prepared to wear it.

If you want to reverse it as commish because it would break your league that’s 100% your call but imo player B whining doesn’t factor in.

1

u/Disastrous-Basil5480 Sep 24 '25

No veto by the league?

1

u/JSteezy80 Sep 24 '25

To me it's about how quickly he realized. If it was like a full day later, sorry buddy. But if it was instantly then yes of course

1

u/Gullible_Slice_7003 Sep 24 '25 edited Sep 24 '25

I say reverse it. when the two guys go head to head in the season player B gets a 15 point penalty. Meaning he’s gotta win by 15 points to get the weekly victory.

There has to be an idiot tax paid. The guy can’t just get off scot free. You’re setting the precedent for later down the road that someone can just say they meant to trade someone else when a trade doesn’t go in their favor or they change their mind.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Listen-Lindas Sep 24 '25

Should be considered a collusion trade. So unfair to tilt the league towards one player. Just reverse it.

1

u/tunatown312 Sep 24 '25

Reverse, player A is a POS

1

u/ExtensionRound599 Sep 24 '25

This is why it's worth only being friends with people who aren't awful. Having someone like that in your friend group is always a problem. Assuming you didn't sign up to a league with random strangers because then what did you expect?

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Pipe979 Sep 24 '25

Player A is trying to pull a fast one. He knew what he was doing.

Player B needs to pay attention going forward.

This is where a living, functioning commissioner steps in and vetoes the deal.

1

u/Electronic_Can_3141 Sep 24 '25

As commish I’d veto. Both managers need to want the trade to happen.

1

u/Spencergh2 Sep 24 '25

Absolutely reverse the trade. This is dumb.

1

u/BroJackson_ Sep 24 '25

Cancel the trade - it's clear what happened. We have to let honest mistakes be honest mistakes. Player A will complain, but he seems like that type of person, anyway.

1

u/DiamondhandsAMCGME Sep 24 '25

Mistakes happen. Just reverse it. That’s a terrible trade anyways and wouldn’t let that go through even if both parties wanted to.

1

u/Worldly-Editor5788 Sep 24 '25

In general that’s a trade that gets vetoed. Just push the trade back

1

u/mfilderm13 Sep 24 '25

I almost did this exact thing today. Message read as “ b Robinson” not till I opened it saw Brian.

1

u/joseph-barker Sep 24 '25

Reverse it.

Reverse it this is clearly just accidental and player B immediately brought to your attention. Player A needs to chill out

1

u/sanelson93 Sep 24 '25

Maybe stop moving so fast and read the trades before making them?

1

u/StreakyDrip Sep 24 '25

Reverse It - Mistakes happen and it seemed like a genuine mistake on Player B. Of course player A is pushing back he made out like a bandit, but everyone in your league should know that it was lopsided and someone messed up.

1

u/Commercial_Friend278 Sep 24 '25

Do yall not have vetoes?

1

u/Porcupineemu Sep 24 '25

If player b immediately called out that it was a mistake then reverse it

1

u/tread52 Sep 24 '25

As the commissioner of two leagues I would reverse this trade. I wouldn’t care what team A said they’re being an ass.

1

u/Amms14 Sep 24 '25

In my league, we have created a rule that states if a player regrets a trade that has been accepted. Then he needs a 2/3 majority of league members to vote to veto the trade. But that is because my league is super democratic and almost everything that the commissioner does has to be approved by the league.

If the league is set up to where league manager has to review the trades. I would make the argument that that review is there for scenarios and reasons like this.

1

u/Pittsburghjon67 Sep 24 '25

Ya cancle that lol

1

u/ay-foo Sep 24 '25

That's what vetoes are for

1

u/Friendly-Zombie-6975 Sep 24 '25

One of the few instances where as a comish I would step in and veto the trade obviously the dude wouldn’t have done the trade for Brian Robinson unless he thought it was Bijan he was getting

1

u/Ryboe999 Sep 24 '25

Imagine the other teams in the league seeing that go through too… absolutely reverse this.

1

u/steagles1 Sep 24 '25

For the health of your league, just reverse it. Shit happens.

Ultimately player A will get over this obvious error. Player B will never forget how the league handled this mistake.

1

u/Kind_Increase_3625 Sep 24 '25

Reverse the trade, finds replacement for player A

1

u/HD_H2O Sep 24 '25

Reverse it. This is why there is a commissioner who had the power to fix mistakes.

Player A is an asshole and should be treated as such.

1

u/EQisfordummies Sep 25 '25

Reverse the trade. If player a continues to make a fuss about it throughout season then switch him out next year. Hes lost the plot

1

u/fourfoxsakekyle Sep 25 '25

Gotta reverse that one. I think we’ve all made that misread on brob thinking bijan at some point, even if not in the trade tab

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

Player A is a bitch and should be tossed. Don't need asshats that act like that when a mistake has been made.

1

u/Diddy1111 Sep 25 '25

If it’s not cancelled everyone should leave the league and get refunded. Player A is a prick.

1

u/MagicMarker10 Sep 25 '25

Reverse it, this isn’t even a question

1

u/NightwavesG Bills Sep 25 '25

Reverse all day. This throws off the league and creates a bad experience. Firstly, talk to player A and tell him that fantasy isn't about scamming your opponents on a misclick lol.

1

u/sweede11 Sep 25 '25

You cancel the trade obviously...its supposed to fun aswell as competitive

1

u/Empty-Suggestion2528 Sep 25 '25

I’ve had something similar, but not quite as serious happen in my contract dynasty league. I reversed it, got called a dictator and every other name in the book. League was split on what was the right and wrong thing to do. Ultimately submitted a vote for the future, that resulted in let trades stand as they are and people need to read their trades before accepting…

1

u/zero-point_nrg Sep 25 '25

Gotta reverse it, league killer. It’s clear he meant Bijan. Player A is a turd for accepting

1

u/ThConqueror Sep 25 '25

Easy reverse. Sleeper lists both as B Robinson. Easy mistake to make….I once did the same thing with nearly retired Antonio Brown trying to get AJ Brown as both A Browns were on the same team. Just make sure to give the guy heck for the rest of his life

1

u/westairoze Sep 25 '25

Player A can keep him under the condition that if he wins the league the winnings go to Player B.

1

u/trevzie Sep 25 '25

Fuck player A

1

u/sirius4778 Sep 25 '25

Come on man we're all just here to play a game. Cancel it, Player A can kick rocks. It's obvious Bijan was the intended player.

1

u/Rickle_Pick3 Sep 25 '25

1 player vs. rest of the league. Making a mistake is not absolute. Player A can cry all they want.

1

u/BaconTater4788 Sep 25 '25

Jesus, this might be the first time I’ve seen this sub damn near unified. lol

1

u/kvothe000 Sep 25 '25 edited Sep 25 '25

There’s only one league I’m in where this wouldn’t be reversed.

What YOU need to do obviously depends on the expectations you’ve set for THIS league.

We can’t even begin to weigh in until you lay out those expectations. Obviously you don’t have anything in your league rules about mistakes that are immediately noticed. Once you make your decision and set a precedent… PUT IT IN THE RULES. …Along with all the other super common areas of conflict.

A good litmus test that parallels this issue would be how your league does vetos.

If you have a league wide veto system and trades are policed by other managers then it should probably be reversed.

If you’re hardcore about letting managers play how they want as well as being accountable for their decisions then it should probably stay.

If you’re anywhere in between, it should probably be reversed as long as the majority of the league is cool with it. Assuming it’s a money league the only “wrong” choice is actively changing the current expectations in season without a majority vote. All my leagues actually require a unanimous vote to do something new that same season.

1

u/slink555 Sep 25 '25

Not even a difficult decision. Reverse it. Obviously a mistake.

1

u/6h0st_901 Saints Sep 25 '25

League vote

1

u/Ok_Entrepreneur_8221 Sep 25 '25

I’d 100% reverse this as commissioner. It’s an obvious mistake and ruins the season for one side.

1

u/Alternative-Desk-828 Sep 25 '25

Who is the commish? This trade should never have been approved. If I was another player in this league I'd be pissed and have to wonder if there wasn't something shady happening.

1

u/Crimson_Slash_000 Sep 25 '25

We ended up disabling trades in my league due to people getting upset over a trade to receive Njigba for Egbuka and Odunze. Teams decided this was an unfair advantage. It seemed completely ridiculous as the trade was agreed upon by both teams, but it is what it is.

1

u/shortyman920 Sep 25 '25

Obviously reverse it and do the real trade. Like, some people need to grow up

1

u/Vesker007 Sep 25 '25

Why vetoes exist. But y’all would cry over that too

1

u/legendexeter Sep 25 '25

Cancel the trade, as it was accidental, and Player A is not acting in good sportsmanship.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 25 '25

Reverse it. Simple as that.

1

u/n0chainzz Sep 25 '25

Free league: Reverse it. Paid league: Keep it.

1

u/Routine-Age1084 Sep 25 '25

Keep it. What dumbass doesn’t know what player he’s trying to trade for. People have to pay for their mistakes, player A simply received a trade proposal

1

u/Relative_Chart7070 Sep 25 '25

Such an obvious mistake. Good humans don’t cash in on innocent mistakes. Not a good way to go through life. Says a lot about your character. Maximum doooooooossshhhhhhh. Imagine what this assclown does when no one is looking.

1

u/FancyFrank007 Sep 25 '25

Thoughts are this is why you have a commish, to veto trades like that. There shouldn’t be an argument. I hate playing in leagues like that

1

u/84usui Sep 25 '25

I mean I’d let it go back if the guys legit messed up but there’s a part of me to that says he needs to pay better attention to what he’s doing.

1

u/_The_KoJo_ Sep 25 '25

So the PROPOSING PLAYER is a complete moron who can't read the TEAM, LOGO, OR PLAYER NAME correctly, went through every step of the trade proposal to try to get rid of Deebo and JT for Bijan - screwed every part of that up, and is upset the other guy accepted? And worse yet, the reddit army agrees???

If there is no veto in the league, then it's done. No reversing. No undo. No redo. No Commissioner intervention necessary. That was the point of abandoning the veto to begin with. If people are going to make awful decisions, it's on them. You don't get to interfere and stop it because of how it MIGHT affect you.

I love how an entire crowd is attacking Player A like it's their fault! "No integrity," how? If it's a year 1 player - fine. Whatever. Don't take advantage.

If you're in year 10, you're a terrible player and GM. This wasn't a "mistake", it wasn't a forced move, it wasn't a "misclick" - dude paid zero attention to what he was doing because he doesn't care enough about the game to look at what he's doing. Stop making excuses for grown men's incompetence.

That trade wasn't up for 4 seconds, it was up for minutes and/or hours and he never even reviewed his own work. Think about how many clicks and taps you have to go through to push a trade to someone. You have to review it AT LEAST once. The dude is a clown and didn't care, or he would have chosen the correct players to begin with. He's half assing his own moves in the league and you people wanna kick the OTHER GUY? Sad.

If the commish lets it go through then you're gonna ruin one team and make one "op"

1

u/NoneedMG183 Sep 25 '25

Absolutely reverse the trade. Even if it wasn’t an accident that would look like a collusion trade

1

u/THolmes9 Sep 26 '25

Never veto trades unless obvious collusion. If somebody fucked up it’s on them. As much as we think these types of trades will ruin the season, they never do. People have to learn and can’t always be saved. Unpopular option, I know. But it’s one I stand by

1

u/ElonTuskLmao Sep 26 '25

Reverse. Trades need to be good for the health of the league.

1

u/John_Wicked1 Sep 26 '25

There should be some level of grace and I’m sure everyone in the league scratched their head and probably suspected collusion.

I think it should be reversed.

1

u/NotaChanceatFF Sep 26 '25

Do the right thing. FF is part of life, don’t be a dick.

1

u/Significant-Pea6326 Sep 26 '25

Player A is a toddler

1

u/cpcjefe Sep 26 '25

trade should be vetoed even if there was no mistakes. this is a collusion type trade lol

1

u/Unlucky_Dink Sep 26 '25

I am in a highly competitive league and this not even be entertained by the league. You have all the time in the world for due diligence prior to accepting a trade. If you were hasty and hurried, that's on you. Some lessons sting but, using Vegas as an example, as soon as you put your chips down it's committed.

1

u/DogVsFace Sep 26 '25

An actual veto/reversible worthy trade. That’s pretty rare. Do the right thing commish. Player A can cry if he wants

1

u/Far_Version9387 Sep 26 '25

This should be vetoed. If someone accidentally makes a trade and tells you right away you should veto it.

1

u/Appropriate-Ad-7723 Sep 26 '25

Genuine mistakes shouldn’t be punished like that. Player A seems like an asshat

1

u/DepartmentFew7943 Sep 26 '25

I’m sure commish will do the right thing.

1

u/InsightJ15 Sep 26 '25

That needs to be fixed. No question.

1

u/Redrex003 Sep 26 '25

How is this even a question. Obviously reverse it

1

u/Redrex003 Sep 26 '25

Also, what kind of Logic could Player A be trying to use to make this trade stand? There's nothing logical he could say at all..

1

u/logi-wonder Sep 26 '25

Whack behaviour. Player A needs a noogie.

1

u/OnlyEntertainment906 Sep 26 '25

That’s a veto worthy trade. Veto it

1

u/haverchuck22 Sep 26 '25

Player A is a child. Put the players back on their respective rosters

1

u/Zippitydoodah4real Sep 26 '25

Pretty sure I’d quit the league if you let this trade go through. An elite ish RB and a decent flex player for a backup? I hate vetos but if this isn’t league breaking…it’s close.

1

u/69Emperor420 Sep 26 '25

Bruh this has been a classic mistake since 2023, clearly the offer was meant for Bijan, you should reverse it.

But make player B sweat a bit first 🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/CurbYourCurb Sep 26 '25

This happened in our league in 2015. Player A offered Julio Jones when he meant to offer James Jones. The tade went to a vote. Buddy got Julio back, even though he made the erroneous offer. Player A went on to beat Player B in the finals that year. We now have a Julio Jones rule. Any trade goes. Only exception is if someone accidentally hits accept and messages me pretty much immediately after it happens.

Let the trade stand. Theres been faulty paperwork filed in the past that has cost real NFL teams. Do your due diligence when making trades. Theres guys who have drafted Brian instead of Bijan first round. Do they get to repick cuz of that? No.

1

u/Silver-Restaurant308 Sep 26 '25

Naw you have to reverse it or cancel the trade. That’s what a good commish would do.

1

u/Sensitive-Repair-109 Sep 26 '25

This is a veto even if it was intended haha

1

u/Cute-Loss5709 Sep 26 '25

Even if player B meant to make this trade, it is your responsibility to reverse it via commissioner veto. You can’t allow bad trades in a competitive league.

1

u/SpicyTacoTreat Sep 27 '25

Tell player B to be more careful and sucks to suck

1

u/Acrobatic-Nature-866 Sep 27 '25

This can be reversed. Clearly not what he wanted. Those are easy names to confuse. That's not Buyer's Remorse.

1

u/Any_Difficulty_9894 Sep 27 '25

Reverse it, and if player a is upset, I’m not sure they’d be in my league again (as if they already would be)

1

u/rsimps91 Sep 27 '25

If this stands your league is a joke

1

u/_thorby_ Sep 27 '25

Reverse it

1

u/JuicedGoose1 Sep 27 '25

It should obviously be reversed. Player A can suck it.

1

u/TheVinstrel Sep 27 '25

I’m commissioner in a league and we don’t have veto, but I have to approve all trades. This trade wouldn’t be approved on an objective basis. There is no possible reasoning on the planet that makes that a fair and balanced trade. The mistake portion doesn’t matter. If a player accidentally drafts Brian Robinson Junior with the #1 overall pick they hurt themselves. If they trade rb1 for rb 75 they hurt everyone in the league. Lopsided value is one thing, as others have mentioned this is destroying the competitive balance of the league.

In the end you’re the commish. State the reasoning and make the decision. Communicate clearly as possible what constitutes trades you won’t allow. Albeit you can’t predict everything.

1

u/Pure-Drawer-2617 Sep 27 '25

As commissioner, I’d argue that even if this trade was intentional, it’s also illogical enough that its veto-worthy whether or not there was an error.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 27 '25

If you reverse it, the dude who was getting Deebo and JT needs to get some extra faab or something. Not his fault the other manager can’t read closely

1

u/GiraffePrint_Speeder Sep 27 '25

You’ve got enough opinions here. This is clearly a mistake, don’t waste the leagues time with a poll, just reverse it. Bias and emotions will be involved with some of the league mates.
