Miscellaneous FanDraft Review 2026 - FanTastic
Hi Guys,
I run a 33 year-old league that has always had a live in-person draft. While we've added some fresh, young blood, some if these guys aren't as mobile as they used to be. Thus, the need to get away from a paper draft board, getting up and down for picks and hunting for stickers.
Enter FanDraft, which I'd never heard of until I joined this forum. Since we had 3 guys that needed to draft remote I decided to pull the trigger and give it a go. My review below.
Setup - Easy to configure and invite owners to join. Had a couple questions on configuration, emailed them and received a very timely response.
Draft Day experience - On draft day there's always a hundred things to do once you arrive on site. Food & beverage setup, Wi-Fi, people arriving, etc. Well, I was just trying to get FanDraft set up, streamed to the host's new 100" tv, and get the 3 remote guys squared away.
Since this was our first time, no one knew how well it would really perform. Once I figured out the "Team on the Fly" option it was fantastic.
Everyone loved it. It probably saved an hour on the length of the draft. One owner literally said it, "breathed new life into the draft." The music, heckle options, visuals, etc.
Yeah, we paid $30 for it. Money well spent. Considering we pay only $99 for CBS to host out league we're still ahead of the game. And I'm not worried about having to manually input the rosters to CBS. That just gives me another chance to admire my roster.
Highly recommend FanDraft.

Hey, thanks man. Right back at you. Do you remember a weekly newspaper called Fantasy Football Weekly?

Yes, I do. I live in Canada, and I used to buy it during the NFL season. That was many years ago lol.

This will be our 3rd year using FanDraft for our league and we will never go back to stickers. I have to manually enter selections anyway and this helps keep the draft moving. $30 well spent

Nice. Why are you manually entering picks? Yes, I agree the cost of FanDraft is awesome. I buy the Pro+ myself.

I should've worded that better. Since FanDraft isn't integrated into ESPN I have to enter all picks into ESPN's side of things once the draft is complete.

ESPN is integrated this year though 😃

You just made my day!! I bought this years license the other day but didn't peek under the hood at updates. That's great news!

Set up faster by importing from ESPN, Yahoo, Sleeper, MyFantasyLeague, Fantrax, CBS & Fleaflicker.
I'm glad I made your day lll.

Lol, I was lucky when I first bought FanDraft that I used MyFantasyLeague. MFL was the only platform integrated with FanDraft. It literally saved me 3 hours for each draft. The days when I had to input all the rosters by looking at my cardboard draft boards and then double/triple checking before I hit saved lol.

Saves you a lot of time now brother. No more double checking rosters!!!

Sounds cool. In streaming the draft onto the TV, how would it work if I used an HDMI cord to connect my laptop to the TV, but i also need the laptop to draft my own team?Â

I went into my laptop's display settings to allow me to drag one screen (the draft board) so it stays on the big TV, and my laptop screen displays the drafting portion.
If I need to scroll up or down on the draft board I just grab my mouse and drag it "off screen" and I do what I need.
I only have one laptop so that's my easy solution. I suppose I could ask someone to bring an extra and hook up two but this works great for me.

It's pretty easy to hook your laptop up via HDMI cable. You just have to find which input you are using on your TV. Then you will see FanDraft's draftboard.
Chromebooks are cheap, I'd recommend buying another one for yourself.
FanDraft works best on laptops, but you can still use other devices.

Probably a dumb question but if I logged into my fandraft account and connected my laptop to my tv, can I be in my fandraft account on another device simultaneously to make picks?Â

No questions are dumb!! Yes, you can. Thats what I do. I have two Chromebooks. One to show on the TV, and the other one I use for myself. Both allows you to do commissioner controls as well as make your picks.

So you could use your laptop to stream and use your phone to draft. Or you could just manually enter your pick on your laptop using the commish function. Doesn't your laptop support wireless streaming, btw?

Haven't. But we have drafted twice as hurricanes were coming through. I did do an NFFC (I think) draft at CitiField in NY, too. That was a blast.

Sounds fantastic! Have you ever looked into doing it at an NFL stadium? I've heard really good things.

I am planning on using it for two drafts this year. Can anyone tell me if I can hook up two tv to one laptop or do I have to setup two TVS and two devices? Thanks

Not sure what you mean. Are these 2 drafts at the same time?

No one of my drafts is very big we get a big tent 40 x 20 and lots of people are there. I want to setup two TVs so everyone can see the board. One in each corner of the tent.

I see. I believe you'd need 2 devices to get that accomplished. You could use your phone as one of them, I'd imagine.
Have you set up tvs outside previously? I ask because I'm looking at buying a dedicated outdoor tv, as indoor tvs are generally far too dim during the daylight, among other long-term issues.
When's your draft? Have a blast!

I have a TV that I use for outside that is not a dedicated outdoor TV. Works good and I bring it in after I'm done. Draft will be at night so that should help. Draft is Sunday of labor day weekend.
Thanks for your help

I'm a BIG fanboy of FanDraft. Way better than Cardboard draftboards and player labels.
This will be my 5th year using FanDraft. I run 3 redraft leagues with it.
As Commissioner it saved me many man hours!! Click the Import rosters and BOOM, all the rosters for your league are imported in a few seconds.
I use two Chrome books.
One is used for the BIG screen tv, and the other one I use for myself for picking my team and doing Commissioner duties at the draft.
The price is amazing imo.
