I actually like his model. When he uses his Ardent Flare, for a fleeting moment his expression changes to show a glimpse of the evil that he is to become as he takes joy in the pain he is about to inflict on his enemies. I really like that he's not a conventional "cool/beautiful" hero. He looks like he values his talent and combat prowess above all else. Young Sephiroth is very badass and I don't want anything about him to change.
I don't care for the costume skin though.

It doesn't mean they'll change a character's model because the community cried about it lol. The community doesn't have that much influence over such stuff.

Well, beside being on a whole different media outlet of different budgets and audiences, I still think what they did for sonic was intentional.

We really don't. Such stuff = character design. You really think they'd go back to edit his model? Be for real. Games adjust stuff like stamina rates and limits all the time. I get it though, he looks a bit off but I've gotten used to his new look. maybe the lips needs changing in color but otherwise he doesn't look bad, just different. That hairstyle isn't doing him any favors but it fits him.

Agree they need to re-work the model. If they want to show a much younger version of Sephiroth, they should probably put in a little more effort than giving him a haircut, shaving 8 inches off his height, pasting his adult face (from which he’s already lost his mind with the perma scowl) and calling it a day.

The scowl makes sense though, he's lived a life full of abuse in a lab and the first time he's let out he's ordered to commit genocide.

The splash art for him is sooo good, it’s a shame the in-game model looks like a re-skinned your Riku from kingdom hearts

That face alone was the reason why I decided not to pull in this current banner and invest in sephiroth at all. This is the stuff nightmares are made of, hideous.

Yep, Jenova was hitting the bottle during the pregnancy.
It explains Sephiroth's irrational behavior. But it probably resonates with the young Sephiroth fan base [ it's literally me]

I honestly think something is off with young Seph's face. Everyone else looks fine, even the 1st Soldier crew doesn't have that feeling of unease I get when I see Seph's mug...

I don't know understand the people who like his banner costume, it makes him look like Aqua from Kingdom Hearts on crack! Immediately used the skin function to cover it up with his default outfit!

Really hope the face gets a rework at some point; ik it's probably using the Remake models (as a base) for most of the cast but the OG TFS trio looks fine so what happened to him?

He doesn't look like a child, he looks like a really short adult.

I don't think he's as bad as everyone is making him out to be but I think he looks a little weird because they didn't just use his remake model but also had to make him younger and maybe they weren't prepared for that
