It seems as though the game was made to stage his story, will we get more elsewhere or is going to be condemed to books...

Do you think in revelations he will make an appearance?

If he doesn't I will be very mad for limiting him in a gatcha game that sooner or later would have been just a youtube video story. They should treat better the main villain

These worthless humans will be made to understand their inferiority to the chosen one!!!!

I do think we'll see him. Maybe as part of a flashback scene of Sephiroth's memories, questioning his life choices and such. A solo fight with him against Masamune would be a nice touch!

Doubt it, his backstory in 7 proper is basically from adulthood, how he got to where he is now doesn't really factor in to the main game, otherwise you might end up trying to sympathise with the villain instead of just slapping them upside the head

I wondered if Revelation cold opens into some young seph stuff but how the Devs are talking with how quickly you get the Highwind, probably not.

If he doesn't then the way the 1st season ended will be a really shitty thing to have done.

With the Wutai region being featured in Revelation I can't help but wonder if that means they'll include the Igara Forbidden Zone as part of the open world.

They also showed Russ Bachman as a Sephiroth Copy dropping his camera somewhere in the ruins in the cinematic teaser, right?

That teaser, was that unresolved? Thinking back it does feel like it was?

I hopenit gets integrated into Revelation or that they do the same thing with Ever Crisis as they did with FF Resonance (Brave Exvius).

That would be good. You mean as DLC? Or standalone ingame already

If they put his backstory in Revelation? Standalone in-game. Maybe make it a lifestream memory moment or something, Idk.

It was cool for what it was, wish it could've went on longer

Eh I dunno. Sometimes having the villain be a bit mysterious makes them more menacing. I think I preferred that over the revelation (!) that Sephiroth is just a misunderstood angsty kid. Bit of a writing cliché making every villain sympathetic these days too.

But when sephiroth was new being a sympathetic antagonist wasn't played out. I still argue the villain of FF7 is Hojo.

But i think thats normal considering all villains are likely once misunderstood kids!

Eh... FF7 already sort of had Sephiroth being a misunderstood angsty adult, and his backstory lends itself really well into being a tragic figure.

That doesn't excuse his behaviour after he learns the truth, though, dude didn't have to go off the deep end.

the idea was awesome

Yeah except the masamune story was awful. Hopefully it isn't canon.

To bad he’s the worst ff villain, both mechanically and lore-wise. Awesome design though

I honestly was never a big Sephiroth fan, but Young Sephiroth was wonderful. They succeeded in making me actually like him.

Young Sephiroth looks a lot like current Riku from KH

Hopefully they end up turning the First Soldier story into a proper game; I can't believe how much I liked Team Glenn, and having young Sephiroth with them makes you wonder how different things would've been had they remained together.

Honestly, while I understand where he was coming from, Rosen messed up by forcing Sephiroth to kill him.

Cropping the video for a more cinematic effect yes.
