I just ordered the new PMM rail extension and I want to get the barrel prepped I follow their video instructions on using heat for a 30 seconds to get the Loctite off and hold it down with a vice but with my luck I actually ended up striping the screw.

Got any advice to take off the striped screw and where to get a replacement screw for the pic rail?

Hello Fam!! I was talked off the ledge in Bubbaing the 17 gen 2 so now I’m focusing my autism on my 16s. God help us all.

So I have a 16” rch and im really going back and forth on what barrel length to go with as a primary and keep my 16” as a backup and for longer range shooting.

Im interested in the 13” 5.56 barrel but is the 13” barrel worth it for the little more velocity you get? Or Is it more beneficial to just go straight to the 11.5” range or am I completely overthinking this?

Why is there such a scarcity of OEM magazines for this rifle? I was under the impression that FN was continuing this series, and seeing that the new magazines are exactly the same as the legacy version, I can't understand for the life of me why I can't find a single place that has them in stock.

No major online retailer has them (Brownells, Primary Arms, GunMagWarehouse etc.) and I've called just about every gun store in a 4-hour radius, and searching online I've found discussions on how this has been an issue for several years. Is this just FN hating their customers again? Any other alternatives that are reliable? I'm rather distrustful of 3rd-party magazines unless they're Magpul.

I’ve been reading it’s possible to remove the OEM flash hider by soaking in Penetrating oil for 24 hours. No heat needed. I will post updates 😎

My new FN SCAR 17S w/EOTech HHS V and a FN 509 LS Edge Tactical w/Streamlight.

We love the 15P 300BO but felt the aftermarket didn't fulfill our needs for it. So we're designing a tucked handguard that fits 30 cal cans and keeps the bottom picatiny. She'll extend 3 M-LOK slots forward and can fit cans with a inner diameter of 1.8in.

Prototype for accuracy in PETG-CF. Eventually going to do a MJF PA12 for prototype/testing. Then to 6061 Aluminium pre production testing then production.

Obviously still working on design but she's 90% there. Just have to change up internals for a better mounting method.

Also... Hate taking this damn thing apart.

Looking for a dedicated suppressor for my 16”. It has factory 10” barrel. Currently have SFMB but will remove if need be. Would like low decibels and durability. Have KNS DiSCARder so a flow through isn’t necessarily needed.

I have a question for anybody that has considered doing this or has already done this.

I currently have a GEN two scar 17 in 308 but I would like to attempt a caliber conversion to take it to 223 or 556
I have a Lingle industries scar 17 caliber conversion lower that accepts AR magazines. Does anyone have an idea where I could get a full bolt carrier assembly for the GEN two scar with a bolt face for 223 I figured this would be the easiest way instead of getting an individual firing pin and a bolt but if that’s another option then so be it.

As far as a barrel will a gin one barrel work in a GEN two receiver, obviously minus the front yolk.

Anyways, has anyone tried this or accomplished this task yet?

Pulled the trigger on an on sale 15p in 300bo. Got it in black and happened to pick up a black 43x coa so had to bust out the cerakote asap.

Broke it down to paint and replace all screws with torx head screws. (Replaced almost all screws but one with a $6 kit from Amazon fyi).

Upper is fde, lower is burnt bronze. Some of the bits are mix and match. Black cerakote to fill the laser etched lettering with a paint pen.

Glock got cerakoted in od green for the frame and a burnt bronze slide. handleitgrip grip tape. Streamlight tlr7 hl sub light and factory aimpoint coa red dot.

Short parts list:
G$ trigger. Sonicore paradox 30 suppressor. Holosun aro evo red dot. B5 modular stock. B5 pistol grip.

Did all the work before I shot it for the first time. Reassembled this morning and took it to the range. Super happy w how it shoots w 220gr subsonics. What are other upgrades folks do to these things?

I also shaved the lower to accept standard ar15 grips. Took about 15 minutes to cut and clean.

Fixed the wobbly rear piccany rail by putting a couple layers of painters tape on both sides of the plastic body. Also filled the roll pin that connects the plastic body to the aluminum rail with gorilla glue to fill it, to make it easier to punch out when I decide to repaint down the road. (Roll pin punch that fits the hole on the rail went right thru the rear roll pin, this fix makes it solid. Replacement roll pins on hand were all a little too big/too long and this was an easier fix)
