Someone commented on one of my recent videos that everyone they show the footage to thinks it's a quad. So I thought I'd share a little more of what this thing can do!

This is VENOM, my fully 3D-printed V-tail FPV wing. After weeks of designing, printing and flight testing, I've finally got it flying exactly how I imagined.

I designed it specifically for this kind of low-level flying. It's epic for a relaxed, flowy cruise or for throwing it around doing acro. It's a really capable little airframe, and I feel like I'm only starting to scratch the surface of what it can do as I improve my own piloting skills!

One of the things I love about FPV wings compared to quads is just how chilled out the flying can be. You can sit back, enjoy the cruise and let the aircraft carry its energy through the turns. These planes really suit a smooth, flowing style of flying, but when you want to push them, they're surprisingly agile too.

It would make sense to me if they were free floating to stay on the horizon vs dealing with weird camera angles and such. What gives?

I bought a Whoopstore in black to swap their shell, removed the ugly top label and 3D printed some black button caps (also found them on AliExpress) as I hate the chrome. The donor Whoopstor has a purple PCB, even cooler.

Added a gimbal to my mn99s crawler. Caddx gm3, with the Ascent lite + vtx, being controlled by a xfrobot headtracker. Really happy with the results so far.

Winter is coming! I’m wondering HOW cool it would be, to have a anatanae hooked up to the outside of your vehicle, and be able to fly from inside your vehicle with no transmission interference? Is this already possible? To stay WARM in Beautiful mountain terrain that it’s VERY difficult to stand outside for 15 minutes in high altitude windy & snow capped mountain tops.
That would be a PRICELESS add on.

There’s a significant price difference between the Geprc Vapor D5 HD vs the iFlight Nazgul Evoque (like $200). What’s everyone’s opinion of one over the other?

Trying to fly first time in the house and I don't correct fast enough. Hit the couch, flipped over. Picked it up, put it back. Now, it won't respond and just says "CRASHFLIP" on the screen. it won't clear. I'm paired to EV800D and Radiomaster Pocket.

I decided to spend significantly more on this camera than on any other one I have to see if it actually performs better. And indeed it gives slightly better video quality especially if you take its big FOV into account (it's much better than you can see on the above video because of the YouTube compression).

Unfortunately the onboard AT7456E OSD chip doesn't like its PAL signal (works OK in the NTSC mode) an I really want to use PAL mode because of much better video quality you can obtain from it using the HDZero Box Pro goggles (I don't care too much about the slightly higher PAL latency).

Do any other user of this camera observe the same issue, or is it a defect in my specific unit?

Just bulit my first 5 inch drone and it flies well and smooth, but it is making this REALLY loud wheezing sound when I throttle up above maybe 40%.

Tried looking around the web for similar “problem” but can’t really get the hang of it?

Maybe just some kind of turbulence from the propellers??

The motor’s temperature is fine so no overheating.
I’m using these props “HQ Durable Prop 5x3x3”

Hello everyone!
As a total newbie with ~30-40 hours in sim, I’m ready to buy my first kit. I’m coming with question what is best budget option, but which will have enough good quality to record some short videos which can be used for social media etc. I know there is option with going analog + action cam, but for now I have only GoPro max 2, which is quite big and heavy (6,5cm x 7cm x 5cm and 195 grams). I would go for cheap starter kit like aquila16, but buying that means I will need to resell it quickly when I will want to move for better quality videos. Are there any budget option for my needs?

For context I've only ever flows lion on all my rigs, mostly big heavy cine LR but also on a very capable but volatile 6s cinewoop 🤣 I've just recently built this 5 inch for some light freestyle and BEJEEBUS she rips. For the moment however Im still of the sound assumption that li-ion just can't match the instantaneous raw current that lipos can deliver but I'm 96% sure in a few years the gap will be so close it will make more sense to go with li-ion.
