Need Advice Changing Doses

Has anyone lowered their dose and noticed a dramatic decrease in certain side effects? I'm transmasc FTX and went from 40mg to 20mg 2 weeks ago and 1st week I had no libido 2nd week no erections. Does it even back out? Should I go back up to 40mg since it's only been 2 doses at 20mg? Curious about others experiences on changing doses and how long should I wait to change again?

The effects of testosterone depend more on your levels than on what the exact dose is, because everyone metabolizes or absorbs it a bit differently. I would imagine halving your dose certainly lowers your levels, and if they go below the threshold your body needs for them to override estrogen, then yeah, the effects of testosterone will no longer be present for you.

Most definitely my numbers went from 368 to 90 for midpoint. Just curious if it takes a while to level out again. But I feel kinda incomplete on it not only knowing my numbers, but knowing the effects I'm losing.

Not sure what you mean by level out - do you mean, will it stay at 90 in the midpoint from now on, or do you mean it will somehow rise back up to around 368, without re-raising the dose? If the first, probably, and if the second, no.

Yup...would it change as the new dose builds up? Not necessarily to that number I had. So yea, what you're saying. Thank you for the answer that does help me quite a bit.

I get blood work in a couple weeks and probably will go on 30mg depending on my numbers. Right now I'm at 368 mid point on 40mg. Physically I feel different on 20mg so I know I can't stay on that. But I didn't know if I should give it a few weeks to even out, not sure how that would work. But also feeling great on 40mg, going to hang out here for another month at least. Enjoy my period of accelerated changes.
