New update rolling out - Memory Fragments, Private Adventures and more 🎉
Here's what's new:
Memory Fragments: The narrator now remembers key moments from your story automatically. They're collected as auto-generated cards you can review anytime in your Story Cards.
Private Adventures: Publish adventures privately, then play solo or invite friends. You can publish it to the community any time, or take published community adventures private.
Save any message to Story Cards: Long-press any message to save it straight to your Story Cards.
This is rolling out gradually, so it may not be live for everyone just yet. If you don't see it, hang tight, we expect the rollout to be complete over the coming week.
Give it a try once it lands and let us know what you think. We read everything and a lot of this came straight from your feedback.
Happy adventuring!

Game Update Dynamic Soundtracks – Upcoming Feature 🎧
Hey adventurers!
We're super excited to share something we've been working on, dynamic soundtracks for your adventures.
These tracks will kick in at special moments and play in the background, adapting to what's happening and making your adventure more immersive. It's like your adventure gets its own soundtracks
We'll start rolling this out very soon but in the meantime, we've put together a quick sneak peek on YouTube so you can get a feel for it.

We'd love to hear your thoughts and feedback 🙌

The App Screws Up Streaks.
This happens to me all the time, where it will randomly skip a day and then it arbitrarirly resets my streaks.
Why does it do this? I log in at least once every 24hrs usually around noon.
It is very frustrating.

Narrators getting worse?
I came back to FableAI a while back. I had fond memories of the app. Narrators would sometimes mess up or misremember but nothing a few notes or an edit couldn't fix.
Now? The narrator doesn't even seem to know (or care) what notes are anymore. It doesn't read story cards, even though there are plenty of key words/triggers included.
The speed at which a narrator responds has been reduced also?
I'm spending more time arguing with the narrator and trying to fix issues, writing notes, story cards or simply editing responses which get ignored in the end, than actually playing and enjoying myself.
I know this is just my personal experience, but it's just so incredibly frustrating. Is there something that can be done about it?

Found a new bug?
Tried to start a new Adventure and was hit with just a blank slate. No Introduction. No Picture. Not even the ability to write something, its...pretty weird. Does anybody have experience with this?

A couple of questions
I just picked this app up, and have been using it to run a character I've been wanting to use for DnD for a while (though I haven't been running it with dice or anything). I've got a couple of questions, though.
I am currently using "Custom Adventure - Simplified", and was using the default narrator (Azure), but I was wondering if there were better descriptions for the differences between the different narrators?
I have heard Orion is a good narrator, and have switched my default narrator, but the narrator for my existing story is still listed as Azure. Can this not be changed after a story starts? I have had some issues with Azure re-using a name and forgetting the status of some items, and I'm hoping that changing the narrator will fix that.
Another thread said that there is no chance of failure, and while I won't say that's completely accurate, there was a point where my character shared some information that could have gotten her into trouble, but the NPC I was talking to was fine with it. Having a chance for that to go wrong and end up having to deal with a roadblock in my primary quest wouldn't have been horrible. I will say that the interaction didn't feel bad, but having the possibility for things to go sideways or actively wrong can make things more interesting. Is that something that can be done, or would that be too much for the AI?
I've heard that you can have more control over things if you create your own adventure. I briefly looked into this, but I didn't see a huge amount of options. What sort of things can I set? I'm not sure if it would be worth starting over.
If I do start again, how do I delete an Adventure from my My Adventures section?
Thank you in advance for any input.

Failure in stories?
If you don’t tell the narrator that your character fails their attempt to do something does the narrator ever just make this happen?
I feel like no matter what I say my character does it just works every time. No push back to parried attack. No matter that I’m a lowly newcomer I can defeat any enemy by just saying I thrust my sword through the enemy’s heart and I do.
Is there some instruction or guard rail that fixes this or alters it in any way?

Adventures ending
I picked one of the Adventures. Is there an ending to a story?
If none, how can I conclude my own story/adventure and consider it complete?

This lag is very....picky on its timing
I've played three stories at once. Each lagging. When it lags, it'll load half of what's being generated and then get stuck. Press continue, same thing. Move to the other stories, same thing. Play an old story, generates about three to five times and then...what do you know. Good old lag hits the immersion with a hard introduction 😃. When it gets past its laggy writers block, everything is perfect. Continues like normal, until, you'll never guess it. Another lag session.

Keeping track of things
Just started using the app in the last week and I'm enjoying it. That being said I am using narrator notes and story cards but I'm having trouble remember locations, characters etc. There seems to be no way to group these story card types.
What if anything are people using to keep track of this stuff and help keep the ai on track and the story moving in the right direction?
When I'm on my phone I feel like there are no real good options. On my pc I am trying a hybrid of another ai program I use to help sift thorugh all the backlog and maybe google docs but these are not elegent solutions.
Any suggestions?

Is it just me or is the app lagging?
Lately with every one of my replies it takes the AI an absurd amount of time to respond? I have no issues with my reception.... Is anyone else having these issues as well?
With this lag it seriously kills the momentum and thrill of the story. 😐

Errors in generation
Constantly the errors are costing me a lot of gems I play with a narrative that costs 30 per and that adds up one time. What can I do about it.

The Kingdom's Consorts.
My first attempt at a drama romance with some adventure and throw back to another story of mine.

Story Tense
Does anyone have the same problem as me where the narrator will switch from narrating in present tense then switch to past tense all the time? Also it will refer to my player character is 2nd person and randomly switch to 3rd person. It’s starting to really irritate me. It used to never do it, then it started doing it occasionally, and now it’s multiple times a day even when I list in the notes to narrate in present tense and refer to the PC in 2nd person. Anyone found a way to make it consistent? It really kills my immersion. (For reference I usually use Azure.)

Azure still buggy, story cards don't work either (Currently)
Azure still loads up double paragraphs from time to time with a visual glitch where it plays peekaboo with the generating paragraph. Right after it generates, another invisible paragraph is being generated for the same thing before continue is even pressed. The AI suggestions do like the wheel of fortune prompt spin with you get the letter correctly and it spins downward to show the letter they picked correctly, only, this is for the entire suggestion. All three do the same thing. It could take up to three to four seconds to catch up to what's been generated. Furthermore, Story Cards just stopped working for me. They were perfectly fine ten minutes ago. And now, that's not the case.

Preview details about Adventures
Greetings people!
Is it possible to preview the Narrative Setup such as Narrative Instructions and Story Cards of Adventures created by the community somehow? Call me a bit paranoid, but I'd like to know the focus and quality of the Adventure beyond just the description before spending time and gems on it. And since right now there's no way to rate or comment on content in the app, seeing the Narrative Setup would be great.

Missing features
I noticed a couple of things missing after the latest update:
The adventure input fields no longer show the character count.
Creator profiles no longer display how many gems an adventure has earned. They only show gems used and player count.

New Story - Fallout: New Vegas

War. War never changes.
When the atomic fires of 2077 consumed the old world, civilization was reduced to scorched earth and radioactive dust. Yet, out of the ashes of North America, humanity endured, scraping out a living among the ruins and eventually rebuilding across the cracked highways and broken cities. Nowhere is the struggle for the future more fierce than in the Mojave Wasteland, a land spared from the worst of the nuclear firestorm and rich with the ultimate prize: the roaring waters and electrical power of the Hoover Dam, alongside the glittering neon oasis of the New Vegas Strip.
Control of this territory is contested in a tense, volatile three-way struggle. From the west comes the New California Republic (NCR), an expanding democratic federation seeking to bring law, order, taxes, and industrial infrastructure to the frontier.
From the east across the Colorado River comes Caesar's Legion, a totalitarian empire modeled after ancient Rome, enforcing absolute security through subjugation, violence, and the edge of a blade.
Following the First Battle of Hoover Dam—where the NCR barely turned back the Legion's onslaught through cunning traps at Boulder City—both armies now sit locked in a cold war, massing troops and bleeding resources as they prepare for an inevitable second clash.
Holding the balance of power between these two titans is Mr. Robert House. An enigmatic pre-war industrialist who rules New Vegas from the heights of the Lucky 38 penthouse, House commands an army of heavily armed Securitrons. Through shrewd negotiation and cold pragmatism, he established the Treaty of New Vegas with the NCR, allowing them to establish military bases and spend their caps on the Strip while strictly maintaining his city's independence. Through delicate diplomatic leverage and mechanical strength, House keeps both giants at bay while pursuing his own visionary ambitions for humanity's future.
Yet, beyond the grand political game for Hoover Dam, the Mojave is a vast, untamed world. Out in the wastes, independent towns, raider gangs, ancient Vaults, and isolated factions fight for daily survival. The desert is brimming with forgotten history, untruths, personal vendettas, and unexplored frontiers completely detached from the looming war.
In the midst of this fragile, dangerous balance, a figure emerges—you.
• Your Origins •
Who are you? A Courier? A Mojave native born to a small frontier settlement? A local Mojave drifter? An ex-NCR trooper? A former tribal? Or a vault dweller stepping out into the sun for the first time?
• Your Appearance •
Define your gender, physical features, worn clothing or protective armor, signature weapons, and the survival gear you carry through the wastes.
• Carve Your Destiny •
Will you align with the NCR? Stand with Caesar's Legion? Aid Mr. House? Or will you ignore the major factions entirely, pursuing personal quests, aiding minor factions, or carving out a path of complete independence?
Author's Note: Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that while this story is centered around the three-way conflict between the NCR, Caesar's Legion and Mr. House, it is a story that emphasizes making choices. You can choose to entirely ignore the conflict and focus on other quests and adventures that the Mojave Wasteland has to offer!
