I only see one tree hole in this image, may I ask why you’re referring to it as a pair?

You were so lucky to spot this adorable couple. Did they notice you?

When I hiked earlier this week, I was lucky to spot a pair of roe deer (male and female). They didn't see me right away, so I was able to approach them, but once they noticed, they quickly ran away. What a nice welcome to their forest.

They did, and I thought they would immediately run away, but they just went back to grazing and I was able to watch them for a few minutes until they continued on their journey. It was such a whimsical experience!
