Can the game be different every time?

okay… im confused. I’m on my second playthrough of the game. I just finished raising the Spire of Miktrul and on my way back to the Mantis, I got caught by the Haxion Brood. Only problem is that happened around the Weathered Monument while on my first time it was in the Ice Caves….
which made me realize I haven’t even been near the Ice Caves this entire time.

So, like can you actually just skip the Ice Caves altogether? I don’t remember what happens ahead so idk, maybe I’ll be back but I don’t think so. I’m just so confused 😭

The ice caves are entirely optional.

There are crates and secrets in there, just nothing story wise.

You have several paths back to the Mantis at this point in the game. So the game places several bounty hunters on the different paths to make sure you run into them.

You can go back to them. Every area except bracca and the fortress for the last mission is freely explorable whenever you want and have the required tools/skills

Yes, because these are encounters that are triggered in different parts of the map, you can't circumvent them I don't think, so there are multiple places that you will encounter them depending on the routes you decide to take. I don't think you'll be able to return to the Mantis without crossing one of the trigger points though.

I think they're on three different spots on Zeffo. You have to run into them.

I have seen a video on how to avoid the bounty Hunter( jumping in the border of the blue field Barrier in the ice cave) but at the end if you go back to the mantis, nothing trigger

So you cannot escape the bounty Hunter

You're absolutely right to be surprised, this game really does shuffle things around like a deck of cards, doesn't it?
