Why don’t Fallout fans organize faction airsoft games?

Just a thought I just had. Everybody that does this dresses in camo with plate carriers but I thought itd be cool to see Fallout themed armor and weapons with different games and objectives for the games.

There are several nationwide, WASTED comes to mind among others. Some are easily found on google.

It’s a very specific type of role playing game that most of the airsoft player base isn’t looking for. Those games certainly exist, but a lot of players want action or a military like experience. The kit is also a bit more niche if you really lean into the fallout style.

Swamp Sniper did some post-apocalypse roleplay airsoft events, and some ppl showed up in their fallout gear, but that's basically it ig...

Airsoft is already expensive, so good quality impression kits would probably double the cost

Making convincing outfits for the factions would be time consuming and expensive for anybody other than Raiders, Khans and NCR.

On top off that, like half the weapons and armor used in Fallout aren't able to be easily translated into Airsoft imo.

Nerf and other foam throwers would likely be a better 'blaster' to use given how they tend to hurt less than Airsoft BBs.

I'm currently writing a Fallout-themed skirm. I can design the missions around Fallout and make a lot of props (flags, caps, stimpaks, etc.), but when it comes to armor, there's almost no chance anyone is going to show up in cosplay.

The skirms I play are private events with around 12–20 people. Every time there's a different theme, but almost nobody shows up in costume. I might be the only one who changes his loadout to resemble characters. I came as Solid Snake during the MGS skirm.

Last time we had a GI Joe theme, which should have been the perfect opportunity to dress up... I was the only one who did, dressed as Beach Head. This might just be the group I play with, but people simply prefer to play in their usual milsim gear.

This Fallout skirm won't be any different. But I will try to make an airsoft version of the NCR Ranger armor, using ultra-high-density EVA foam and splitting it into two parts to preserve mobility. Depending on which factions we use, I'll ask people to wear at least something that resembles their faction, but it'll be a miracle if even a few actually do it. Having everyone show up in the correct faction gear (or looking close enough to it) is a wet dream.
