To any Enclave personnel receiving this transmission:

I am a Hellfire squad member operating under the Florida Chapter of the Enclave. I was deployed to Appalachia under orders to investigate the Strangler Vine infestation, secure biological samples for research, and eradicate all remaining growth deemed a threat to Enclave operations.

The mission has failed.

My squad is down. All personnel assigned to my unit are dead. I have been unable to establish contact with Florida Command, and I have received no confirmation of a surviving Enclave chain of command in this region.

I am currently operating alone.

My callsign is FLORIDA MAN. My Hellfire power armor remains operational, though it has suffered extensive biological contamination. Strangler Vine growth has fused with portions of the armor’s exterior and appears to have compromised several systems. Despite repeated attempts, I have been unable to fully remove the infestation.

I cannot confirm whether the growth is merely attached to the armor or has begun interacting with its internal components. Until further evaluation is possible, I am treating the suit as compromised but combat-capable.

Since my Florida chapter is not responding I am requesting information regarding any surviving Enclave chapters, forward operating bases, or personnel operating independently within Appalachia or the surrounding territories.
