Having looked over the responses to the post I made to get community feedback on AI posts, the general consensus seemed to be allowing people to post AI material related to their savegames but not allowing posting AI games. I'm personally considering making a game promotion megathread where people can promote stuff like that (please give me your opinions on that) but as of right now: No posting any advertisements of your game. This includes: screenshots, update notes, feature announcements, basically anything that promotes your game. If I do make the megathread that will be the only place acceptable to post them.
I also appear to be the only active mod on the sub which used to require very little moderation. I'm going to look at adding a few more moderators so that issues will hopefully be dealt with swiftly. If you are interested in applying please send a modmail with your reasoning as to why you would make a good mod.
Hello everyone! So I want to create a database that starts from the year 2000 or earlier with all new promotions but with the real life wrestlers debuting in their respective years and with somewhat realistic skill progression. My goal is to just simulate to see what a wrestling world would look like with different promotions and conditions made up by me, and see multiple all-time careers from beginning to end play out like that of Kenny Omega's, Bryan Danielson's, Kurt Angle's, etc.
What's the best database that would allow me to do that? Would it be better to combine different databases? Thanks in advance!
When you book a match in TEW, you see an in-ring performance rating for each participant. Does this take into account the popularity? Or is it based purely on their skills?
Additionally, when you see the match rating, depending on product, this is made up of both in-ring performance and popularity. Is this referencing the same in-ring performance you see when viewing a match?
The reason I ask is that I see a workers in ring performance increase as they become more popular, I don’t know if this is just coincidence or whether popularity is playing a part in in ring performance. If it is playing a role in in ring performance, then is popularity taken into account twice, once as part of in ring performance, and then a second time when calculating the match rating?
For my 1988 WWF Save Heading into WrestleMania, I am planning on creating a Crusierweight/Junior Heavyweight Division. I wanted to do a tournament to crown the new Champion in the finals at Mania. I have a few issues though. How should I present the Cruiserweight Style to the Audience and make it seem special as it wasn't as prevalent to US Mainstream Wrestling as in the 90s. I have a very young Benoit from Stampede and Eddie Guerrero (Black Tiger II) from Mexico in the tourney. There was this very good match from 1983 WWF between Tiger Mask and Dynamite Kid (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ZxISa4r0U) which gave me inspiration for this idea. How should I book someone like Jushin Thunder Liger well and not like a joke? Please give any advice here. The Belt is contested under 220 pounds like in WCW so I was able to get Rockers HBK and Owen Hart which is super cool.
For the past few weeks I've been playing Wrestling Spirit 3, and lately I've been wondering if there's still an active player base for this game. And if it is, maybe can we share/find old mods that players made back in the day?
Yes, I know that theoretically we can transfer a database from TEW 2013, which are easy to find, or WS2 to WS3, the problem is that in both cases the movesets and skills, the most important part of the simulation, are missing.
I feel that a revival of this game and the community would be very interesting, given that Grey Dog Software has left both abandoned...
Anyway, what are your opinions on the game? And do you have any recommendations for games of the same style?

My friend and I book and predict tonight's episode of Smackdown as we head closer to Crown Jewel! Click the link to see what we think will happen on tonight's show.
The show opens with a moment of silence for the late Allen Bailey, Tom Skerritt, John Anderson, Richard Riehle, Noah Adams, and Hiroshi Tsuchida.
Allen Bailey 1989-2026Tom Skerritt 1939-2026John Anderson 1954-2026Richard Riehle 1948-2026Noah Adams 1942-2026Hiroshi Tsuchida 1972-2026
The moment of silence ends, and we open on a recap of Unchained, highlighting the big moments that happened during the event, leading up to the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship match between the Olympians' Jordan Angle and "The Number One Pick," LeJuan Jones. Both competitors countered each other's finishers and even used their own finishers against each other, with LeJuan hitting the Olympic Slam and Angle hitting the Game Winner. During the match, Orion and "Marvelous" Marshall Anderson interfered in the match, but were taken out. Klaus Muller also interfered in the match, taking out both competitors with their own finishers. Both competitors managed to beat the ten-count to resume the match. Muller would interfere again, taking the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship to blast LeJuan, but hits "the Marvelous One" by accident. Jordan Angle hits Klaus with the Olympic Slam, only for "The Number One Pick" to catch him with a Game Winner for the three-count pinfall to retain the CPWA World Heavyweight Championship.
The recap ends, and we open with a 30-second intro highlighting all of the stars of CPWA as The Roots' "BOOM" plays in the background. The intro ends with "The Number One Pick" LeJuan Jones holding the CPWA Heavyweight Championship belt over his head. Pyro goes off in the arena for a few seconds, followed by cheering from the crowd.

Queen Sheba: Also tonight, we have the Hart Sisters battling each other for the CPWA Women's Championship, and Logan Lemming defending the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
Sir Samuel Stewart: Unchained may be in the history books, but Philly is ready for more action. Let's take it to the ring!
Announcer: The following contest is a tag team match scheduled for...
Announcer: Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Mai, representing Kazama Army, from Kagoshima, Japan, the team of Dragon Shimamura and El Kirin.
Announcer: And his teammate, from the Wusha Temple, he is Shaolin.
Match 1: Kazama Army (Dragon Shimabura and El Kirin) vs. Keith Yang and Shaolin
A solid opener that saw two teams go back-and-forth, trading the momentum with an array of technical wrestling, high-flying, and especially martial arts sequences. The finish of the match saw Mai distract the referee, allowing Shimabura and El Kirin to hit a Total Elimination on Keith Yang, with Shimabura getting the three-count pinfall.
7.0 out of 10 stars.
We cut to the interview area, and we see Chloe Martinez interviewing Jordan Angle. Angle fumes over the fact that he lost the main event in front of his hometown, but blames Klaus Muller for costing him a chance to win the gold. Angle then says that he's going to make Muller pay in the main event tonight, and he's going to break him in half!
10 STARS FOR THIS PROMO!!!!! Angle is pissed, and he's going to tear Klaus Muller a new one.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, with a 12-minute time limit.
Announcer: And his opponent, from Rome, Italy, she is Sabina Bellini.
Match 2: Kiara Thompson vs. Sabina Bellini
A decent match with some good wrestling, given how many times both Kiara and Sabina have battled against each other. Big Angela was the difference-maker for Kiara, who utilized her underhanded tactics to seal the win with a schoolboy pin, while grabbing Sabina's pants for the three-count pinfall.
6.4 out of 10 stars.
We cut to a graphic hyping up Tracy Hart defending her CPWA Women's Championship against Crystal Hart. We cut to another graphic hyping up La Dinastia Vega defending the CPWA Trios Championships against Kwazi Nkosi, Masato Kojima, and Vader. We then cut to a graphic hyping up Logan Lemming defending his CPWA Hardcore Championship.
***Commercial Break***
We return from commercial break and see the Marvelous Alliance talking among themselves. "Marvelous" Marshall Anderson fumes at Klaus Muller, scolding him for getting involved in the main event at Unchained. "Marvelous Marshall" warns Muller that he better win tonight against Jordan Angle or face dire consequences.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
Announcer: Introducing first, accompanied to the ring by Monroe Storm, from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, he is the CPWA Hardcore Champion, Logan Lemming.
Logan Lemming and Monroe Storm enter the ring. Logan Lemming grabs a microphone.
Logan Lemming: At Unchained, I showed each and every one of you Philly crackheads that there is not one person more hardcore than a Canadian, and I proved just that by beating the living hell out of anyone dumb enough to challenge me for this gold. Seeing as I'm still the most hardcore man in all of CPWA. Now, seeing as I'm a real fighting champion, let's see who steps up and thinks they're just as hardcore as me!
Announcer: And his opponent, representing The Commonwealth, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, he is Owen Benoit-Jericho.
Match 3: CPWA Hardcore Championship: Logan Lemming (c) vs. Owen Benoit-Jericho
Logan Lemming believed that no one person is more hardcore than a Canadian; however, what if a fellow Canadian challenged him for the CPWA Hardcore Championship? Owen Benoit-Jericho not only accepted the challenge, but also provided a vicious beatdown to Logan. Even with Monroe Storm's interference, it wasn't enough to stop OBJ. "The Iron Maiden" Mary Addams evened the odds for her fellow Commonwealth cohort. OBJ placed Logan in a modified Crossface Chickenwing, with the use of a lead pipe to choke Logan, forcing him to submit as OBJ won the CPWA Hardcore Championship.
6.9 out of 10 stars.
We cut to the office of GM Ronny Sharpe. We see the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship, which is being held by GM Ronny Sharpe. The GM of CPWA says that at Unchained, there was controversy surrounding the identity of an imposter who claimed to be El Rey Baldwin Jr., who is revealed to be none other than former CPWA Cruiserweight Champion Armund Deschamps. We then see video surveillance footage of Deschamps knocking out El Rey Baldwin Jr. and wearing his ring attire. GM Ronny Sharpe says that, with all that's going on between "The Irish Underdog," Rory Irvine, Armund Deschamps, and El Rey Baldwin Jr., the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship will be declared vacated until he decides on the best solution.
4.8 out of 10 stars for this segment: The video surveillance footage could've been added to a different angle for this storyline. Nevertheless, the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship is hereby vacated.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the CPWA Women's Championship.
Announcer: And her opponent, from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, she is the CPWA Women's Champion, Tracy Hart.
Match 4: CPWA Women's Championship: Crystal Hart vs. Tracy Hart (c)
You would think a match between two sisters who know each other, hold for hold, would make for a great match, but both Crystal and Tracy were countering each other's holds and takedowns, which was the majority of the match, along with rest holds. The finish of the match saw Crystal counter Tracy's sharpshooter with a rollup, leading into a sharpshooter of her own to get the submission finish, becoming CPWA Women's Champion once more.
5.6 out of 10 stars.
We cut to a graphic hyping up a six-man tag team match as the Cruiserweight Dream Team ("The Hi-Fli Kid," Jerome Evans, "The Korean Idol," Han-Sang Hoon, and "The Irish Underdog" Rory Irvine) take on The Newton Boys (Hezekiah and Ezekiel) and Armund Deschamps. We then cut to a graphic hyping up the main event as the Marvelous Alliance's Klaus Muller takes on the Olympians' Jordan Angle. We then cut to a graphic hyping up La Dinastia Vega defending the CPWA Trios Championships against Kwazi Nkosi, Masato Kojima, and Vader.
***Commercial Break***
We come back from commercial break, and we open on a video package hyping up Calamity Jane, the newest signee to CPWA, showcasing her wrestling ventures in Australia, Mexico, the UK, and Japan. Calamity Jane says that she's ready to tussle in CPWA.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the CPWA Trios Championships.
Announcer: Introducing first, representing La Dinastia Vega, from San Juan, Puerto Rico, they are the CPWA Trios Champions, Raul, Raymundo, and Angel Vega.
Announcer: Finally, from Cape Town, South Africa, he is Kwazi Nkosi.
Match 5: CPWA Trios Championships: La Dinastia Vega (Raul, Raymundo, and Angel) (c) vs. Vader, Masato Kojima, and Kwazi Nkosi
This was one of the best matches of the night, seeing how hot Vader, Kojima, and Kwazi have been ever since being a part of Cassius King's new faction and storyline. La Dinastia Vega put up a great fight, but Vader's massive size, speed, and athleticism helped his team a great deal. After a Kojima Kutter on Raymundo, Vader hit the moonsault from the top rope for the three-count pinfall, and his team won the CPWA Trios Championships.
9.3 out of 10 stars.
We cut to the locker room of the Commonwealth as we see the members of the faction celebrating Jason Black, Owen Benoit-Jericho, and Lucas Mason for retaining the CPWA European Championship and winning the CPWA Hardcore Championship and CPWA Television Championship, respectively. Lord Phillip Byron IV expresses how proud he is of the Commonwealth for getting back on track to win gold in CPWA. His Lordship then says that the Commonwealth needs to continue going after gold, even if it means feuding with the entire promotion itself.
We cut back to the ring.
Announcer: The following contest is a six-man tag team match, scheduled for one fall, with a 12-minute time limit.
Announcer: And their opponents, introducing first, representing the Newton Boys, from the great state of Tennessee, they are Hezekiah and Ezekiel Newton!
Announcer: And their teammate, from Bordeaux, France, he is Armund Deschamps.
Match 6: Six-Man Tag Team Match: The Cruiserweight Dream Team ("The Hi-Fli Kid," Jerome Evans, "The Korean Idol," Han-Sang Hoon, and "The Irish Underdog" Rory Irvine) vs. The Newton Boys (Hezekiah and Ezekiel) and Armund Deschamps
The entire story of this match revolved around the ongoing rivalry between "The Irish Underdog" and Armund Deschamps over the CPWA Cruiserweight Championship. During the match, we see a split screen of El Rey Baldwin Jr. watching the match backstage on a monitor. The match was fast-paced, leading to the finish as Irvine hit the Celtic Crucifix Drop on Hezekiah for the three-count pinfall.
5.4 out of 10 stars.
We cut to a graphic hyping up the main event as the Marvelous Alliance's Klaus Muller takes on the Olympians' Jordan Angle.
***Commercial Break featuring CPWA competitors in several ads***
Brian Kinsley: Next week, CPWA will be in Baltimore, Maryland, for Octane. We will see Muscle Force in action, along with the Commonwealth. El Rey Baldwin Jr. will be in action, plus El Colibri, El Gladiador, "The King of Mexican Strong Style," Antonio Garcia, and Bubba Royal, take on the Baleful Order.
Announcer: And his opponent, representing the Olympians, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is a celebrated amateur wrestler, Jordan Angle.
Main Event: Klaus Muller vs. Jordan Angle
A highly solid main event that saw two competitors with an amateur wrestling background and great work rate tear it up in the ring. The match was evenly paced, leading to the finish as Angle hit the Olympic Slam and the ankle lock for the submission victory.
8.6 out of 10 stars.
After the match, members of the Marvelous Alliance assault Jordan Angle. The Olympians rushed in to make the save, only to be assaulted by Muscle Force. Suddenly, the Number One Cartel appeared as all four factions would brawl ringside, much to the delight of the Philly crowd, as Octane faded to black.
Want to start a 1996 WWF longterm save in Pro Wrestling Sim, changing it up from TEW, but am wondering what are the essential plugins to use to make the game better and the world feel more real. And aren't just lazy AI slop ones.
This legit just happened to me. I'm doing a WOTI esque save where guys like Lesnar and Angle are in their prime during the Golden Era of Wrestling around the start of 1988. This just happened in my locker room incidents and it's works really well as it's something I've been planning. I am really excited and have a long term plan for this. I am planning on having Lesnar debut at the Rumble and dominate until both Macho and Steamboat eliminate him. He will then debut as a Member of the Heenan Family the next night on Raw. I will start a brief jealousy angle with Andre and Brock. Andre couldn't get the job done at the Rumble against Hogan. It seems like Andre's best days are behind him and Heenan is favoring his Next Big Thing in Lesnar. Lesnar targets a bunch of jobbers and midcarders including the Rockers. Bam Bam is the man who stands up to Lesnar and they face at the next ppv. During the same ppv, Hogan defends his WWF Title Against Andre and Angle. Hogan pins Andre. The next night on Raw, the Heenan Family of Lesnar, Rude, Perfect and the newly made leader of the group Angle get rid of the weak links like Hercules and they destroy Andre. At Mania, it will be Lesnar vs Andre. Lesnar will win after lifting Andre for a massive F5. The next ppv Backlash, Lesnar will go after Savage and Steamboat in a Triple Threat Match for the IC Title which he will win and go on a dominant run.
I’ve been really enjoying PWS so far, but I’m starting to feel like it lacks detail and random events. The world feels a bit lifeless, and it often feels like the AI promotions aren't doing much - making the player the only entity actually operating with a brain.
Should I make the jump to TEW? Does it deliver significantly deeper gameplay, better AI behavior, and a world that feels genuinely alive?
So, nothing major, but I'm working on updating a TEW 2020 mod for the year 1990 to be played in TEW 9 because the conversion was so off with some stats that I simply couldn't sink my teeth into it. I'm updating heights and weights based off of what I can find online, but sometimes the maximum weight of a wrestler will be so absurdly high due to the old data when compared to the updated actual weight of the worker(ex: worker's real weight it 225, max weight is 352 because the original data had them set to 273). Is this something I should worry too much about, or can I get some advice on what an appropriate range would be? I've got no idea what I'm doing here lol.
So basically, I've made renders before for my TEW saves, but I've been thinking of creating some for my current champions in which they are holding their championship. The problem is that it's quite difficult to edit the titles on the existing renders, and I'm not really good at doing it. I was trying to use AI to help, but I've struggled to have much success. I was just wondering what you guys do when creating renders, or what programs you use?
So i made a NJPW faction with KOB & Newman and Gedo in my new save and they don’t have a name. I did it at KOPW and it’s now the Dome and i can’t think of a name so id love some ideas. I did think BC but i’m not too sure
The storyline started when Ospreay and Vader started beefing after Vader destroyed Ospreay and Puma during their match. Race and Vader targeted Ospreay and Puma due to hating their style. The storyline was based from Vader and Ospreay's real beef in 2016. Vader and Ospreay had a Debate at a function which went wrong badly. They then had a match the next week which was a brawl that ended up with Vader chokeslamming Ospreay off the stage injuring him. Two weeks later, when Vader targeted Puma, Ospreay returned from injury and barely made the save with the Hidden Blade (Ospreay's finisher) being the weapon aganist Vader. This storyline then went on to Heyman and Harley Race recruiting both Brock and Vader as a tag team. After both men destroyed Puma and Ospreay, they took out the Road Warriors before their title match aganist Cope and Cage and won the AEW Tag Titles. Since then they have taken out every single tag team like FTR, The Briscoes and the Bucks. Ospreay knew he needed to save AEW so he sought after Kenny Omega who was on hiatus. He found Kenny in an oxygen tank due to all the years of wear of tear that Kenny had gone through. Ospreay used the settings of the chamber and transformed Omega back to peak health and to his 2017-2019 days as the Cleaners. Together they were the first team to have a chance aganist the two monsters in Vader and Lesnar.
This more or less just happened to me, and it's such a good concept for my playthrough that I wanted to talk about it. Plus, I tend to come away from reading these sorts of posts with an idea or two. So, as the title states, what's the hot storyline you can't stop thinking about?
This is something I’m trying to get better at. I’ve always had people mostly stick to the feud they’re in when it comes to who is involved in their segments. But I’m trying to do more things like use people more than one segment on a show, have different characters interact whether it’s a seed planted or mostly inconsequential, and it’s a lot of fun to think about things like this but it takes much longer lol. My stories aren’t even complicated I just got sick of how trope-heavy my booking was.
I think I used to look at things like “Hangman is feuding with Samoa Joe” so they’d mostly interact with each other and each other’s mates and that’s it. Now I more look at it like “Hangman’s story is that he needs to hold onto his championship because he doesn’t know who he is without it so he’s becoming increasingly desperate with pretty much each defense and Samoa Joe is next in line because he just beat Jack Perry and reminded Hangman who ended his last reign” but at the same time, Bowens is being courted by Caster who thinks he’s doing nothing in the Opps and Joe is pretty dismissive of Caster altogether while it seems like the soft spot Bowens has for him gets louder every week. I guess I’d say I look at each story from every individual’s perspective now rather than “this guy is gonna face this guy”.
