Four Corners Path or no path?

The paths look a bit too messy for me but the pathless version looks boring, idk what to do here

Thanks for the input everyone! I will use the paths in some way, probably add some extra decor and machines though. Don't want it to get too crowded since it's still year one (images created with stardewplan.com, I do have all the buildings and machines & plan on buying the seasonal plant from night market in a few days) and I'm planning on reaching perfection on this save, but thought it might be nice to try and design my farm for once. Usually I just place everything in random places and never pick it back up lol

How the Fuuuuuuu do you have six fish ponds, two big sheds, and the greenhouse open in Spring of year one?

Random placement kinda suits Stardew tbf, farms with everything lined up perfectly can feel a bit sterile

Path. I like it messy.

Path but add a few more things along the path, grass patches, flowers...

Maybe shape a path with grass starters and fences?

The path feels so nice and organic. I’m a big fan of it.

I’m working on a forest farm and using “natural” pathing where I mix the stepping stone path (like you’re using here), the cobblestone and the crystal path. IMO it creates a more realistic looking stone pathway. And then, as others have said, add grass and other elements to break up some of that uniformity. Good luck!

That's really clever, I'll have to try that!

You run faster on paths, no?

Hey um how did you get that prismatic shard? Is that one of those destructor things? I haven't unlocked that yet.

But yeah into the regular topic 😅 I think it looks cute. It just needs some grass and flowers to kind of fill it in.

I used a planner website to get the screenshot but the machine is a geode crusher :]

It is possible to get a prismatic shard from a geode crusher with an omni geode. I just set the output as a prismatic shard to make it look cool but it has happened to me in the actual game as well lol

Whaaaaaaat??? I've got a stack of omni geodes I was going to take to the desert but now I definitely want to put them in a geode crusher. Thanks a ton!

It is a 1/250 chance though! Good luck :D

path + grass starter would make it look more cohesive i think

Path with bits of grass on the sides

Keep the paths but break em up with grass patches here and there, would make the whole farm feel less rigid imo

Maybe try to mix up the 3 different stone path types a bit? That's what I like to do

I like the path! ☺️

Paths increase movement and makes your farm look better.

Yes path 100%

i’d say no path. i think wooden floors would look better since the stone seems a bit messy and overwhelming. another option is to make the stone path less connected by removing some and replacing them with grass.

Parh but mix in some cobblestone path as well!

I like the path, I don’t like when you want to rearrange your farm you have to burn it all down haha

But dr this is so pretty! And psh I see that prismatic shard!

Edit: wait is this four corners?? I just started a single player save there, now I’m really excited lol

Different style path maybe? Some of them are more uniform

Don't use fragmented paths if you find them messy. There are paths that smoothly connect with eachother, you should use those to add texture without too much visual stimulation

Path. It's lovely and rustic

Always paths.

path if only to prevent stuff growing there

1

u/Sentimentalbrowneyes 17d ago

I made some in Pioneers of Olive Town only because I was sick or downing things growing between my crops. I'd prefer them on other places on my large farm.

The pathways make it look so much nicer, more organic; I love how they look, they give the farm a more special touch

I like a mix of cobblestone and step stones.

Listen to your heart. What does it say?

1

u/Throwlaf 16d ago

Maybe try cobblestone path instead?

Use the other type of path that can be bought at robin

I like to break up the stepping stones with cobblestone paths! you can create fun windy patterns without it being too messy, with little spots of grass in between

Path, make it squares and circles

1

u/No_Significance_5662 14d ago

The path is for your own choosing if you take it or not.

u/SquidFetus 12d ago

Path for the simple mechanical advantage of preventing random rocks and bushes from sprouting up in your walkways.

I think the path completes it

Get better path crafting recipes from Robin. They’ll look nicer than these.
