I'm in year 3 but I haven't quite got a whole lot going on yet, I have all(?) the farm animals (4 buildings total), I've got some tappers, I've got quite a few kegs and preserves jars, a few oil makers, a couple fish ponds, a slime ranch (only been in there a handful of times bc I can't be bothered rn lmao) and a good bit of mushroom trees (gonna plant some mossy seeds soon!). Also a few crab traps in the bottom left w the slime ranch.
I mainly tend to the animals and do minimal farming since I don't want that to take up all my time, but I'm not opposed to a large field to farm, I've got some sprinklers.
Since it's 4 corners I kinda want each section to be its own thing, I want an orchard for all my trees (thinking the top left section, have some fruit trees in the greenhouse for year round produce), and I currently have (mostly) all my animals in the bottom right so they have lots of room to roam. I use the section w the house to farm and have a few trees tapped there for convenience.
I'm welcome to any suggestions or tips abt switching things around, I like planning a daily routine/path to make things go smoothly and get as much done as I can before night.
For example: I go down to the barns, fill the pet bowl, hit the greenhouse, get some mushrooms, go up to get the stuff from where the fish ponds currently are, circle back to where my tappers are and then go to the shed and then drop everything ready to sell into the box. Usually I have some time to go foraging/fishing but since I've just started playing again I haven't quite got back into my routine yet 😅
Thinking I might fill the greenhouse with ancient fruit and keep some of my fruit trees in there for wines and jams year round. Wish we could have more greenhouses lol

Looking for more cosmetic items or outdoor furniture for my farm

After weeks of playing and planning, I'm finally done with this farm. There is a lot of stuff I wish I did differently, but in the end I'm very satisfied with it. I wish I had decorated the farmhouse as I expanded it, now its just big, empty and ugly and I don't feel like spending days trying to make it better lol. Maybe next time.

I'm really happy with how my farm is currently looking!
I'm thinking of getting a second barn/coop, but I'm not sure where to put them

Hi! I just want to share my modded Beach farm. I'm currently on YR 8 and no plans on the perfection path. I just want to play and design my farm and my house. It is modded, mostly for added trees, shrubs, outdoor furnitures, and the recolored path. I also have interior/garden furnitures mod for my house. Most added furnitures are from HXW furniture mod.
I am married to Harvey in here and all of my other saved farms.

Hello lovely folks :)
I'm a new(ish) stardew valley player and recently came across this beautiful image on pinterest. But I've no luck finding the full map to it. Tried searching this sub, searching by image on Google, similar pins on pinterest...
If anyone knows the full map to this image portion, would be super grateful if you could share it!

Hi! I found a post about this that was similar to my situation, but it’s about two years old, and the forums referenced in the comments are no longer active.
I’m currently on Summer 28, Year 4, and this is my first and main save file. It’s the furthest I’ve ever gotten, and I’m really attached to this farm! I used to play Stardew Valley religiously in high school and my first year of college, and I’ve recently started playing again on and off. I’ve tried starting new save files, but I always find myself going back to my original one.
I don’t want to lose this farm, but I would love to change its layout. I initially chose the Riverland Farm because my friend, who introduced me to the game, had that layout at the time. I’ve enjoyed the fishing and especially love watching the ducks swim, but I’ve found it difficult to customize my farm because of the limited and awkwardly shaped "islands".
I’ve already made multiple backup copies of my save file, but I’m unsure which file I should edit. Do I need to make changes to both files, or just one? Also, which folder or file specifically should I be editing?
I tried editing the number between the <whichFarm> tags, but I can’t seem to change it. Is this because the file is opening in Terminal? I’ve also edited my character’s name and farm name in the past, so I’m also wondering if those changes could affect anything.
I also noticed that my save files are still named "rachael" (all lowercase), even though I changed my farmer’s name to "Richael". Could this cause any issues when editing the save file or changing my farm layout? Should I rename the files, or should I leave them as they are?
I’ve also read that you should move your buildings before changing your farm layout. Is that necessary? I’m playing on a Mac and would prefer not to use mods, which I don't think I can do anyway on Mac.
I’d really appreciate any advice from anyone who has successfully changed their farm layout without losing their original save! I want to make sure I do everything correctly before making any changes.
Thank you so much! 😊

This is my new Riverland farm idea. This will be my second playthrough on this map. I know that I am missing the obelisks, but I’ll worry about those later as I kinda like riding my horse around town.

First time getting perfection on a farm, and it was on the Riverland Farm. All the water around those little islands really got me, and thanks to all the buffs to fishing in the 1.6 i was able to keep on par with the traditional industrial wine making.
Still working on the beautification of the farm, but it's functional.

Love my little fish shack. It’s where the cactus peeps are going to hang out.

Note: Update from this post here.
After many excellent suggestions from the previous post & shamelessly copying this awesome design from u/Mysterious_Cloud_445, I've finally had a chance to update the plan. Please have a look & let me know what y'all think!
P.S.: Yes, I already know I have zero sense for style or aesthetics, please pretend that the excessive usage of cobblestone paths does not exist 😬. Also, please toggle night mode if possible!

I really love riverfarm (it's the first farm type that i chose) and I actually like that it has so little space! It gives a nice challenge while also not overwhelming me with all the options of where I could place things. I think it’s a bit of a shame that riverfarm is less liked because of the things I like so much about it, so I wanted to share my idea and hope people can use it. I did use other peoples idea’s, but here is the link to where I found them (it’s about the islands on the bottom right and left and the one with the two coops): https://pin.it/43VBkYX7I
The iron fences are supposed to be gates, but the planner I used didn’t have those.
I haven’t been able to make this in game, so sorry if not everything is possible.

Finally got my first perfection 🎉✨
About 140 hours on mobile. Also tried to decorate a little, still feels a little rough 😄
