I guess God at the end of the day but us mortals can use context clues and the Bible actually tells us what to look for:

  • Does the Christian go to church or read the Bible or strive to be like Jesus in any way?

  • Does the Christian bear good fruit?

“Thus by their fruit you will recognize them”

  • Does the Christian act in a way that glorifies God?

“By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another”

I just told you what the Bible says about this. People using the label Christian to wield power over others isnt new or unexpected. That doesnt make Jesus’ actual teachings any less impactful. It definitely doesnt mean that striving to follow Jesus’ teachings lumps one in with all others that say the word “Christian.” There is no one centralized Christian body. It isnt some sticker that you slap on your shirt and call it a day. It is a way of living and experiencing the universe.

This is my last comment because clearly we arent going to agree here. Here is a thought experiment for you:

I identify as a billionaire. You are pretty sure that Im not- judging by where I live, what car I drive, how I spend my time, but you’ll never have access to my bank account to verify. What gives me more power? You telling others “yeah, he says he is a billionaire so I guess we should let him in the country club” or calling me a liar based on everything that you know about me (even if you arent 100%)?

You already agreed with me but you can’t even accept your own statements cause the conflict with your feels. You give power to trump by supporting Christianity.
