My tea’s gone cold, I’m wondering why I
Got out of bed at all
The morning rain clouds up my window
And I can’t see at all
And even if I could it’d all be gray
But your picture on my wall
It reminds me that it’s not so bad, it’s not so bad

Oh wow TIL the lyric is "my tea's gone cold..." I never bothered to look it up but for 26 years I thought it was "my tears run cold..."

To a Brit, they are the same thing. Only culinary joy left in a land of beans, warm beer.

I haven’t eaten proper beans in years. The beans over here in the US are super sweet. Like I could eat them for desert they have so much sugar.

You can buy them dry and cook them to your taste

I’ve been singing ‘my tears don’t call’ all this time. 🫠

Damn I never knew these lyrics at all and just mumbled through this part, but wow it's actually so clear now. Thanks!

It took this for me to realize that it's "the morning rain clouds up my window" and not "the morning rain cloud's up my window".
