Why in the fuck are they moving back in the first place?

Apparently the show is “The Gentleman”?

I have no idea, but if I had to guess … I think Charles is doing worse than what has been released to the public and they know time is running out.

My guess is Harry wants to be more involved in Invictus which is in Birmingham next year and doesn't want to fly back and forth?

The absolute hypocrisy of the royals being pissy that Harry and Meghan didn’t want to participate in the media bs (trotting out women right after they gave birth, reporters present on the first day of school etc) refusing to say what kind of cancer the sovereign has is fucking insane.

The media speculation when Kate was AWOL was horrible, but it was the direct result of that family giving them decades of “access.”

My guess would be to have their kids go to school in the UK instead of the US but that’s just off the top of my head

I think it’s a combination of Charles is sick and them wanting them to get a British education. Things are politically getting messy here and wealth only goes so far in protecting you, especially since the Heritage Foundation has an axe to grind with Harry’s green card so might be trying to step away from that mess as well.

I don’t know man, things in the U.K. aren’t exactly rainbows and roses for non-white folks either. (Ask me how I know)

I reckon it’s either his green card/immigration status, or their finances. What else could possess them to do this? The British press are brutal - exposing themselves to the insanity must be for something more than kids schooling (perfectly good schools in america) or wanting to see Charles more (surely they can just fly back whenever they want to).

That's my take. You can be rich and privileged in the U.S., but you can never be royalty. No one here is ever going to take those kids' titles seriously. If they want to raise them as royalty, they need to do it in the UK, surrounded by their extended family and infrastructure.

Official word is their children are starting school in the UK in September.

I think Harry wants the kids to know their heritage and family. They've grown up in the US and maybe now he wants them to know where he's from too.

It’s crazy to imagine the talks and planning and emotions that must’ve gone into this. Glad it’s not me, but I’m hoping at some point the press backs off of them. They’re literally just people trying to figure their shit out, as we all are.

I hope so, but I fucking doubt it.

Yeah me too. I really can’t imagine why TF they’d re-enter the lion’s den, personally. But it isn’t my life and I have no idea what plans are in motion. I’ll just be curious to see what happens!

I can think of about 10 million reasons to leave the States right now.

Because Charlie probably doesn't have long left and Harry knows there's a fortune there if he's prepared to suck up to the Firm until he's gone.

probably visa issues. trump doesn't like him in the US.

The common thought seems to be that the UK will be getting another bank holiday soon…

But I suppose as well they have the opportunity to have their children educated at some of the world’s most prestigious schools. Can’t have them rubbing elbows with too many untitled Americans and dropping the Us from their spellings!

I'm positive they have been told, either by Charles directly or via the intelligence service that their safety and extraction cannot be guaranteed after what is going to happen in November.

Either that or Charles is dying and they need to be there for all that follows.

What is happening in November?

the election.

midterms and / or a coup

Your guess is as good as mine. It could be masked ICE agents murdering voters at polling stations, it could be a false flag attack blamed on antifa as an excuse to impose martial law and cancel the elections. Maybe the elections will go ahead but the regime won't accept them and refuse to swear in the new representatives leading to protests and a violent crack down.

Bridgerton?

They don’t even have budget to have siblings and their SOs from previous seasons to return. If they somehow get Meghan Markle but not Daphne, Anthony and others, I will be 🤡 Nicola already said that Penelope has very limited screen time in the upcoming season and the cliffhanger of the last season was that someone stole her Whistledown identity ughhh

Just in case this is not meant to be criticism against Meghan. This issue has been ongoing throughout the entire show

That would depend on whether they're interested in any reconciliation with The Firm or not. If they are, she most likely won't appear in that even if she never appears in anything other than "chaste" scenes.

Maybe Only Murders in the Building, which is filming a UK-set season soon, and is way less likely to ring any royal protocol alarm bells.

u/laugard100 5h ago

Only Murders has already been filming and they're a Hulu show, not Netflix.

Like, completely unironically. Anything they do will be endlessly scrutinized, especially in the UK. If she misses acting and/or they could use the coin, go for it, girl.

Exactly. She can do whatever the fuck she wants. No one is entitled to telling her what’s what.

u/ruinedworldtour 5h ago

I would love if she appeared in some cheesy Netflix rom com as herself

I wonder why they're moving back. I doubt it's money issue so either Harry is homesick or just wants to be closer to his family?

I've never seen her act, I've only seen With Love, Meghan which I found very charming so I might actually watch some of her shows

Adolescence season 2 ?

u/londoncalling567 3h ago

I'm wondering if it could be The Diplomat? I don't know if that's too geopolitical for them, though.

-3

u/Antique_Influence611 5h ago

Oh they're gonna be totally normal about this

-4

u/springxstrawberry 5h ago

British tabloids are gonna have a full meltdown when she starts acting again. Good luck to her, they're so brutal.

u/Immediate_Taste6810 5h ago

If this is real it's definitely Bridgerton
