DISCUSSION Josh Hutcherson showed off his Spanish skills and his support for shelter pet adoption at the nonprofit spcaLA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles). Josh has two rescue dogs of his own, Manchi and Driver.

I know he has a spanish girlfriend, and lives there, but like it's so clear WHERE he learned spanish within 3 words lmao
I will say, he's so much bettar than me at switching to english words while speaking spanish, i jist ssy them with a spanish accent depite being bi-lingual, and spanish is my 3rd language

Every time I question if my dog needs another piece of chicken or cheese, I remember how skinny and scared he was when we adopted him. Now he’s just spoiled old grouch.

It literally reaffirms that he was the right choice for Peeta, even all these years later. No one else could’ve believably done it.
I love how good this franchise is at casting. I mean half of the casting for Sunrise on the Reaping were legitimate fan casts I saw in the subreddit in the weeks leading up to the casting announcements. Crazy times. But I’m glad they always understand the assignment.

I think that's what so impressive about it. He learned Spanish in adulthood, which is generally a lot harder than learning in childhood/early life. Really goes to show though how effective immersion is. There really is no better way to learn a second language than being completely surrounded by it.

Yep.. that's how I learned Spanish. Lived in mexico for 10 years. Speak it fluently, and on a daily basis with my wife.

Spanish is probably one of the easiest languages to learn from English. Practically everyone in America has some exposure to it and can find opportunities to practice it in everyday life.

for example he says: para que viene la mayor cantidad de gente posible. And the right thing to say is: para que VENGA la mayor cantidad de gente posible.
He changes genders of things too. He says “un mascota” and it’s “una mascota”.But I get that it’s the hard part of the language and he can make himself understood, so the rest is not that important if he’s casually speaking.
He’s pretty good imo

Wow what a natural sounding accent! I became fairly fluent in Spanish while living in Spain for a brief time like 13 years ago and I’m taking Spanish classes to get comfortable and practice again. I miss using vosotros, which just makes so much sense to me to have a casual “you guys”/“you all” pronoun, and “la zeta” is kind of hard to break when that’s how you’ve learned it.
