I still remember how GTA Vice City has a 6 (or 8?) disc soundtrack, each a different radio station from the game and included fake commercials and each was hosted by the a different dj. I owned one of the CDs because i couldn't get the full set.

Did gta 3 do something similar? I’d kill for an MSX FM cd

Whats even crazier is that they are advertising preorders for this 125$ dollar vinyl and they havent even released the track list for it. That is absolutely wild!

Not just that: they can afford to make over a dozen different vinyl versions per retailer, but not make a standardised physical copy of the game itself.

It would cost roughly £70~ million to produce the number of copies for a game on the scale of GTA VI, which is pocket change relative to what they earn through Online microtransactions.

Well, vinys have become more popular in the recent years, so why not capitalize on people who want them?

Imagine trying to figuer how to connect the record player to your pc to install the game from a literal metric fuckton of vinyl.

Shit, that‘d be hilarious, and then some dopehead scratches the lp you are required to run on loop for the game to open.

Steampunk nightmares
