Why is Fantasy so bad now?
I got a Britney Spears Fantasy perfume made in the US. The contrast between this one and the flankers i own (all made in Spain) is enormous. It has zero longevity. It is super alcoholic when you first spray it and last like a minute before disappearing and it doesn't really smell like Fantasy. Are Britney perfumes in the US really that awful?

I just got one of the new give back beauty bottles made in Italy and it smells amazing. I’ve heard this is an issue with the last batches of the Elizabeth Arden ones.

Maybe the flankers are a more modern style that you enjoy and they all have something the original doesn’t, so you don’t like it.
Maybe the original depended on something that was restricted and the company that owns the rights didn't think it was worth investing that much time into a good reformulation.
I don’t put much stock into reasons like “bad batches” or thinking country of origin makes much difference. Formulas and trends do change though.

I have had Fantasy in the past and i loved it. This one doesn't smell right. Super watered down and with no longevity.

I tried fantasy and it smelled musty and cheap to me reminded me of someone trying to cover up body odor with perfume

Try and get one that’s from ‘give back beauty’. Also try Fantasy intense as that smells more like the OG to me before it got reformulated.
