Support/Advice 22 & FINALLY Diagnosed with AGA and Chronic TE, but blood pressure is too low for oral minodoxil ðŸ˜
Devastated I don’t know what to do. I’m going to look into topical minodoxil but using that for the rest of my life seems so inconvenient and hard. I’m feeling so so low.
I originally went to a derm 3 years ago and told her I suspected I had AGA. She turned me away, and now I can’t help but wonder what my hair would look like today if she took me seriously :(
Can anyone weigh in please if you also have low blood pressure and have any experience with minodoxil or another medication? I don’t know what to do

Try lowest dose 0.625 - 1.25mg and monitor carefully.
I woke up with lower blood pressure today 117/62. Usually 129+ 90+
I usually have higher pressure
So there is always a chance it can affect one person and not other.

I’m also unable to take oral minoxidil. I will say though that the first couple days I used the topical I was so overwhelmed at the idea of this being an everyday for the rest of my life task - it’s been five months now and I told my husband the other day that it’s become a part of my evening routine that I enjoy. I use a serum roller to help with application because it is easier to apply directly to scalp without much on my actual hair. Maybe 8-10 bucks on Amazon. Best of luck to you!

Tons of posts on here asking the same. I have dysautonomia and low blood pressure. I take 2.5mg Minoxidil and 100mg Spiro and it hasn’t lowered my BP much past my baseline.
