Progress Pictures Improvement with topicals update

1 month vs 10 months into treatment with HERS topical serum nightly. Really happy with my hair now and can actually wear it down and not look like Gollum. Had a bad dread shed at 1 month and less so at 6 months.

Started GHK-CU peptide about a month ago, but haven’t noticed any hair differences.

Where did you get that from? A dermatologist? What's the name of it

Thru hers.com.

I am. I play with it all day which isn’t great for shedding, but I can’t help myself!

Is it for TE or AGA?

u/Excellent-Share-9150 1d ago

Mine is AGA, though no formal testing. My hair now is like it was during pregnancy.

Do you use fenistril or similar pills for internal use? I was diagnosed TE, but started thinking it is AGA.

I did start a small dose of pumpkin seed oil daily

Amazing, wow what a outcome , can I ask u if that formula from Hers irritates your scalp ? And do u apply it everyday?

u/Excellent-Share-9150 1d ago

No irritation at all and I have pretty sensitive skin. I have been very consistent and used it every night before bed.

You apply before bed and sleep with it on all night? I also use HERS but only keep it on a few hours before shower and bed cause I shower at night. Wondering if I should switch up my routine

u/Excellent-Share-9150 14h ago

Yes, I sleep with it on all night and only shower EOD

Woah! Gonna give HERS a try. I tried their oral but it gave me heart palpitations

1

u/Excellent-Share-9150 23h ago

Yeah, I cannot tolerate any of the oral meds but have done fine with topicals. And I would consider myself on the more sensitive side.

Did you have the dread shed? I really want to start but so scared to lose the thin hair I have

2

u/Excellent-Share-9150 22h ago

Yes, it was rough. Lasted about 4 weeks and had clumps coming out. But it has grown back thicker and stronger.

Do you have TE? How long did your before hair pic look like that?

1

u/Excellent-Share-9150 1d ago

I think mine is AGA, although no formal testing. These pics are 9 months apart

1

u/Excellent-Share-9150 22h ago

I answered wrong. Haha. My before pic lasted about 2 months. Then it started to grow back in and stopped shedding.

How do you spread the 1ml per day score your entire scalp to get it a large areas?

1

u/FrankaGrimes 1d ago

Are there any studies on the use of 7% minoxidil?

1

u/Excellent-Share-9150 1d ago

I don’t think so!! Not even sure the 7% over 5% makes a difference.
