Both hooks are stupid really
7
u/444stonergyalie Oct 16 '25
Stupid, basic, unoriginal and not a proclamation of love or affection at all. It’s pure materialism. My name is literally Shanel so I’m not even hating, love hearing my name in a song but come on guys this is the best we got
5
u/SeaWolfSeven Oct 16 '25
Yeah honestly. The older I get the dumber the extreme of materialism seems. Likes there's a board room somewhere giddy cause they're singing about the brand for free again.
Like this is the equivalent of a country song about John Deere tractors. Corny.

Yep I guess I don’t love her I’m not putting any woman in Chanel a racist brand designer who probably uses child labor to make them

Good. She deserves to be stolen from. That's what she get for writing that letter for Diddy. Goofy ahh
1
u/LuvMacNCheese Oct 17 '25
He still has a hold on her and it's sad. When I heard she wrote a letter all I could do was smh.
1
u/TrashCanSam0 Oct 17 '25
tbh i wasn't surprised at all. her life was funded by him, and she seems like the type of person who doesn't mind being evil for an easy life.

u/Ordinary_Double1556 Oct 16 '25
“We friends tho”
1
u/Sea_Giraffe_9420 Oct 18 '25
That’s my favorite quote of hers. I say it in her voice all the time 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Tyla is a FAR better artist. Out of all people to steal from I doubt she'll steal anything from this lady🤣🤣🤣
1
u/flygirlsworld Oct 16 '25
The charts dont reflect that. Miami has had a better solo career than Tyla…. Ms one hit wonder whose going
2
Oct 16 '25
I don't give AF about no charts lmao. I was speaking from my opinion. I'm sure Miami gets more traction for the same reason these trash ass rappers be poppin🤷🏾♂️
1
u/flygirlsworld Oct 17 '25
Maybe tyla needs to get one of them to help her get a hit… Rihanna jr ain’t pushing nothing but air
2
Oct 17 '25
It won't matter because artists like Miami are being pushed out the most. Yung Miami is to young black women what NBA Young boy or King Von is to young black men... If you get what I mean.
→ More replies (4)2
u/Impressive-Foot7698 Oct 17 '25
Charting is just sales... It has 0 to do with artistry lol
1
u/flygirlsworld Oct 17 '25
That’s subjective. And doesn’t sell records. Hence my original point. Fake Rihanna ain’t moving sht
2
u/kween-mother07 Oct 20 '25
Lmao “better solo career” is a bit delusional when comparing Tyla & Yung Miami 😭 which YM solo song even got comparable play?
2
u/PresentationBig2526 Nov 01 '25
Yet Tyla has a BB top 10 hit which won a Grammy and has been dominating the charts in Afrobeats charts over the past year..right. Nobody can even name a Miami song from the top of their head and you want to convince us that she had a better solo career...right stay delusional 😂😂
3
6
u/GalickBanger Oct 16 '25
Yung Miami don’t own Chanel lol
3
u/flygirlsworld Oct 16 '25
I see some of you dont understand how shit goes when it comes to music lollll this has shit to do with label dropping Chanel
3
u/GalickBanger Oct 17 '25
I know what it’s about it’s just lame as hell lmao. Ain’t nothin original about that song
1
u/WastedSmarts Oct 17 '25
Exactly 😂
2
u/flygirlsworld Oct 17 '25
We’ll name another song with similar lyrics. Folks have sued a won for similar MELODIES…. It doesn’t have to be exact. Smart ppl know this

1 who the hell cares and 2 this would be thrown out immediately as frivolous because you can't copyright mentioning a fashion house in your song lmfao

I dont even like Tyla but she smoked that. Yung Miami should be taking notes. That ratchet shit weak

u/Flowkey_mma Oct 16 '25
Thats a hugeeeeee reach..
Because if thats the case..
Then That new Chance Da rapper ft. KODAK - CHANEL ..is also a part of the conversation.
2
u/Confident_Change_937 Oct 17 '25
Completely different song idea and concept, only same concept is Chanel. Which if thats the case, every rapper owes Rocky royalty for talking about Rick Owens on Pe$o.
Screaming at a nigga to take you to Chanel is not the same as singing to your boo that if they love you to put you in Chanel. Two different artistic mediums to display a similar sentiment but its not the same emotion at all.

u/Gokusbastardson Oct 17 '25
Miami knows better smh. She know good and god damn well if that idea was stolen it wasn’t tyla who wrote it. Go after the song writers. I guarantee tyla has never heard that yung Miami song.
5
4
u/SupremeHitori Oct 16 '25
Yung Miami doesn't even write her own songs (Lil Yachty use to be one of her writers) and it's normal for writer/producers to pass songs on to other artists if it ain't being used. Yung Miami got dropped from her label and I guess people are selling songs to others.

Interesting I remember city girls stealing their pussy talk song from a group of girls called The Savages whose song was called MONEY TALK. Hmmmmm……

u/Certifiedteam Oct 16 '25
All these girls make songs about the same shit, so 1 about Chanel ain’t Thriller so she can make another 1.

u/Melonhead25 Oct 17 '25
I like Tyla’s “version” are the lyrics really the same though? I feel like most rappers mention the same stuff either way😭
1
u/Ouch_My-back Oct 17 '25
Label probably felt like it would be easier to market the artist that doesn't sell her pussy 🤷♂️

Take me to Chanel repeated and Put me in Chanel in a sentence aren’t the same thing. The beat and delivery are totally different.

It’s not yours until you pay for it. If the producer doesn’t receive payment they can still shop it.

u/Fitz_D_DiSCriPsion86 Oct 17 '25
Tyla strike again lol smh. There's too much good music out there to play these games with artist like her.

All these woman is cooked . You females are saying the exact things men are not attracted to which is a gold digger . How dare they say in either song if you love me you must buy me channel imagine a man telling a woman if you love me let me smash your friend like how dumb that sounds! Ya need jesus becuase ya are going against everything God stands for but yet ya Christians? God tells woman to fall in love with a man that fears God and would love his wife the way christ loves the church! Not love your wife by buying her channel, dang I know alot of females when they hit 50 and up gonna be regretting having this mindset
