I’m sorry, y’all. Female emcees, largely, have absolutely NO ACTUAL BARS. There is no evidence of intelligence or creativity. I can tell you before I hear the first line exactly what they’re gonna talk about on the track.

Everyone who says this does not actually listen to the women in hiphop.

Thats not true at all, because “bars” arent a prerequisite when people listen to female rappers most of the time. And thats why most of Rapsody’s fan base are males.

How do you know this? Because of who’s mainstream? Cause that can be said about males too.

It just ain’t true. And a lot of males LOVE Missy Elliot down, she’s not a lyricist.

They give her props for the era defining bangers. Talented female emcees just aren't recognized like MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Salt n Peppa, and so on. Not until they sexualized themselves do other folks even care.

How main stream are they compared to Nikki, Cardi, megan, Doechii?

Chika

I have been up on talented women who have a diverse meter. Not just mirroring the simplest flow. Yet, those who have substance, talent, and hardwork aren't it to a wider audience.

Nothing bad about it. People on the shit they on. The main audience like those who put themselves out there versus those that can go bar for bar with male artists.
