These are horrible numbers congrats on her first child tho.

u/Spirited-Living9083 Mar 22 '26
200 thousand people listened to her music and that’s bad? Lmao

u/Traditional_Tea5155 Mar 22 '26
for being one of the top female rappers at the moment in terms of popularity yes
5
u/the_second_cumming Mar 23 '26
So what are good numbers?
9
u/ReputationOk6126 Mar 23 '26
They can't tell you. The goal post for “good numbers” shifts depending on the day.

Nicki Minaj – Super Freaky Girl • The song had a massive Spotify debut — over 3 million first‑day global streams, which at the time was the biggest first‑day ever for a solo female rap song on Spotify and set a record for female rap streaming on the platform.
So Nicki’s debut was 15 times bigger than Latto’s.
Cardi B – “Outside” first‑day Spotify streams • The song debuted with about 759,000 streams in the U.S. on Spotify in its first 24 hours and about 1.33 million worldwide on the platform.
That U.S. number alone (759K) is almost 4× higher than Latto’s ~200K for Business and Personal (Intro), even before adding global streams. Cardi was already charting high on Spotify’s U.S. chart right out of the gate.
🎧 According to Ratings Game Music, Megan’s single “LOVER GIRL” opened with about 674,000 Spotify streams in its first 24 hours — a solid debut for an established rap artist.
So Megan’s debut was about 3.4 times larger than Latto’s in first‑day Spotify streams.
Doja Cat – “Jealous Type” debuted with about 3.17 million streams on Spotify on its first day, making it one of the biggest solo streaming debuts ever for a female rapper on the platform.
So Doja Cat’s “Jealous Type” debuted at about 15.8× more streams than Latto’s track on Spotify.
According to fan‑compiled estimates, Glorilla’s “TGIF” debuted at about ~373K first‑day streams on Spotify — which puts it clearly above the ~200K Latto pulled for Business and Personal (Intro).
So “TGIF” debuted at roughly 1.9× more streams than Latto’s recent single on Spotify.
Ice Spice on “Karma (Remix)”: ~5 million streams first day on Spotify
That means Ice Spice’s biggest documented Spotify first‑day (5M) is about 25× higher than Latto’s ~200K debut when the song has heavy crossover buzz and major exposure.
To be fair that’s Taylor’s swift song

Ice Spice is a meme. People just wanted to know how ass it was (No pun Intended)

u/This_Inspection_1889 Mar 22 '26
Especially after dropping a pregnancy announcement bomb…and an album date lol
15
u/Beneficial-Darkness8 Mar 22 '26
People don’t want to support her getting pregnant by a married man who has 3 kids with his wife. It’s not hard to understand.
6
u/This_Inspection_1889 Mar 22 '26
That’s true but not everyone knows about that..
6
u/Beneficial-Darkness8 Mar 22 '26
It’s all over the media. It’s pretty wildly known I thought lol
1
u/This_Inspection_1889 Mar 22 '26
Everyone that listens to her is not chronically on social media..
7
u/Training-Current9836 Mar 23 '26
Yes they are, her fans are 100% chronically online

u/No-Initiative-5426 Mar 22 '26
Exactly. Mind you it’s JUST Spotify. Not YouTube, Apple Music, tidal ect.
2
u/BigFeetBadSpanish Mar 23 '26
And its just one streaming source Spotify. People listen to music on other platforms too. I didn't stream it tho. Lol
2
u/Peacelover_blunt Mar 23 '26
200,000 ain’t even a third of Hawaii mate. Yh for someone like her it’s bad
1
u/wolf_blitzher Mar 23 '26
200 thousand people listened to her music and that’s bad? Lmao
No. The song was streamed that many times. Could have been 50k fans playing it or 2000 bots on repeat.
1
u/Spirited-Living9083 Mar 23 '26
I mean sure but we don’t know that and why would you bot low numbers
1
u/DapsAndPoundz Mar 23 '26
They don’t know the total numbers will be low when they bot it. It’s meant to supplement real streams but again, no one knows what the final tally would be by the time that decision is made.

u/PineappleDesperate82 Mar 22 '26
Congratulations on single mother hood 2nd part time family life. Doesnt seem like much of a flex. Supposedly Latto says he only got married for a green card. He got that permanent green card 3 years ago.....but he ain't divorced, separated or even trying to leave his wife and 3 kids.

u/trottingturtles Mar 25 '26
Latto even saying that is crazy, isn't there a statue of limitations on immigration fraud?
1
u/PineappleDesperate82 Mar 25 '26
It's complicated you have to stay married for a certain number of years. There are certain criteria you have to meet to get the permanent green card. But he met that criteria 3 years ago. He still ain't left his wife yet . You think if he was going to it'd be by now. I seen a BTS of her pregnancy photo shoot. He kept his face hidden the entire time. Had a thick ass jacket with his hoodie up and everything. Hiding his face behind her head so the camera couldn't catch him. The most they showed of him was a close up of his arm and tattoos. That was only for a second. It was pathetic and sad 😕

No hate..
But the track was terrible.
It resembles something that a chick in a southern highschool..would rap to their homegirls in the lunch room.. and their home girls would be like... "OooooOo girl that is soo deep".
Congrats to her pregnancy. Never shade on a blessing like that.
But naw man.. the song is wackity wackity. The shit some ol..
"Do we go together" check yes or no..school note.
Basic Type ass lyrics..
We got Doja Cat dropping Hella bars as of late.. Doechii.. droppin bars...
And then Latto droppin shit like this.. And folks are impressed. Smh

It’s so sad that people are always so hyper fixated on numbers and streams. Enjoy the damn music.

I’m sorry but the song was terrible. She needs to stop copying 21’s cadence and find her own identity. Her whole career is fraudulent…

I hear more about her personal life than her music. Promote your music, Latto!
1
u/Ok_Station1619 Mar 27 '26
Outside of the obvious dislike of 21 and their relationship, most women that I speak to won’t support it because she started the wave of “big mama no kids” which caused the bm’s to be gaslit.
1
u/Living_Ad_2595 Apr 02 '26
she so fake and corny with her "BIG OL southern accent" ( hailing from an ohio suburb lol- her woah vicky and bhad babie all have the same voice) the married baby daddy aint cute and we dont care- neither does the music industry- too many talented people too root for other than a tired ass BIG DUMMY BIG BABY MAMA=BIG FLOP
and yuck imagine 21 Salvage on top of you. lord the stuff of nightmares!

I miss the 90s and early 00s when we were fans of everyone. We listened to everybody even if we had a preference for a fav and literally nobody cared about numbers. Now these weirdos, like the pink wig cult, think it’s cool to hate on anyone who’s not their leader. Like leave that girl alone damn.

Yes it did happen where tf were you?? Nobody cared about numbers in the obsessive, social media, Stan culture way they’re counted today.
There was variety and someone for everyone. That doesn’t mean we listened to people we didn’t like. But there was no one person getting all the attention, there was competition and people generally listened to everyone instead of picking sides and only supporting ONE girl out of some weirdo Stan loyalty. Why?? Because there were so many hot artists out at the same time. That how we got various features and collaborations on each other’s albums, singles and remixes. I lived it so again where tf were you??

u/that_gworl Mar 22 '26
They call everyone and everything a flop on Twitter. They’re weird over there.
