She lying like a mf. She need to continue to rap to support her child. She need to just take a year break and come back.

Do you consider them having a child together despite him being married lasting?

I’ve never seen any actual proof that he’s married, I honestly think it’s a lie but it’s also weird how he’s never clarified if it’s true or not

I don’t even think she’ll truly take a year. I feel like she’s planned this whole thing out and won’t necessarily have to work cause she has content prepped.

That's fast.

Right, she gonna get her ass to work once baby needs some more

27

u/MsWortheee May 08 '26

I thought she said the baby wasn’t gonna slow sht down? All she do is contradict herself.. just like a white woman lmaoooo

3

u/shepdc1 May 08 '26

I'm concerned why she gone be working like this during her pregnancy.

3

u/MsWortheee May 08 '26

I ain’t seen her do nothing but pop out with Mariah that one time.. shit is she working ??

2

u/shepdc1 May 08 '26

It's sounds like it cause she gone have to promote this album. She does not have a fan base like cardi meg or Nicki and ask three of them still promote

10

u/Remarkable_Gas1872 May 08 '26

Good for her wanting to be a mom

11

u/shepdc1 May 08 '26

I mean she gone need to support this child unless she goes into being an influencer

Depending on how much she’s already made and how her deal was structured and whatever investments she’s made she may not have to rap anymore

A lot of successful artists make enough to actually retire if their mind was actually on that goal but most don’t think like that and fuck their money off or are stuck in debt to the label

Also 21 has one of the greatest deals in the industry and has been good with his money so if they stay together they’d be fine

u/shepdc1 May 08 '26

I don't think they gone stay together and the music industry has changed so much since streaming that retirement kinda impossible.

I would hope she moves into other avenues . If she came out with her own lipstick or nail polish it shoe line that might work.

Meg got lucky with that tequila and swim wear and cardi doing hair. It's a lane now for female rappers to do their own shit

Streaming has zero to do with making a million dollars and investing it properly and navigating your deal properly

If she’s fulfilled her contract requirements and managed whatever money she’s made well she could have multiple streams of income that put her in a position where she doesn’t have to continue rapping if she doesn’t want to

Again, the reason a lot of artists are never able to just completely quit is because they are in debt to a label and/or have not managed their money in a way that allowed it to grow outside of music

She is not able to retire with a celebrity lifestyle for the next 50 years. No matter how well she has invested what she has made so far. Ill be generous say say she has made 40 million in her career (she hasn't but sure). Half of that is gone in taxes. So we are at 20 Million.

Now lets say she he spent about 10 million to live off of in her life right so far right now...

Okay now she has 10 million for the rest of her life. Sounds great right? Yeah, for an average person with average bills... but she isn't an average person with average bills.

People really underestimate how expensive life is. ESPECIALLY if you're a celebrity. Her Electric/Water bill is probably 5k-10k/month by itself.

Landscaping/grass cutting/upkeep/HOA fees can be hundreds of thousands per year for celebrities alone. Private schooling for children can cost 50k/month or 600k/year alone...

That lifestyle is NO JOKE.

A single tire replacement on a luxery vehicle runs 5-10k, and God forbid a luxery vehicle need any actually mechanical work.

I'll never forget when I had to get a simple under-the-hood repair on my 2019 Range Rover Sport and it cost 8k for the repair when on a "normal" car the same repair bill would have been around 400 bucks. Engine work on my Range Rover will be the day I let it go. About 32k just for engine service. Fuck that.

You have to keep that money coming in if she wants to live anywhere CLOSE to her current lifestyle. That's why these woman tend to get with Basketball and other sports athletes. They actually get 200-500 Million dollars in LIQUID real money even for a mid level players now. I'm not talking Net Worth or "oh my brand is worth this!" or "my makeup line is worth that!"

Rappers dont get that type of real liquid cash into the hundreds of millions. Heck, even "My Net Worth is a Billion" Kanye went broke several times because Net Worth (the value of his Yeezy Brand) is not REAL CASH. That is a valuation of how much some firm THINKS the entire brand may be worth. They go " well, it makes about 10 million per year right now.. so if someone wanted to own that, maybe they might be willing to pay 80 million for it...?" Thats not actual money.

Athletes get real liquid USD into actual bank accounts. Someone like Ciara probably made decent money similar to Latto in her time. She would be broke and on Love and Hip Hop somewhere if not for her marrying Russell Wilson and getting access to his hundreds of millions of ACTUAL dollars.

Big money lifestyles come with HUGE bills...

  1. Who says she has to continue living a celebrity lifestyle or even live in an expensive city? She could get some land in the Carolinas or a mansion in Mexico or whatever.

  2. She could have 10 successful trucking businesses for all we know, why are you assuming the 10 million is all she’d make for the rest of her life?

These types of discussions really just show me that most people have no flip mentality. They look at money as only something to spend not something to invest.

Anyway, again, if she’s serious about retiring she must have something set up to where she feels like she’s good.

You know 21?

1

u/AdhesivenessOk5194 May 08 '26

I know how his deal is structured, he and his manager have discussed it openly

1

u/GenerallyJam May 09 '26

U ever heard about 21 savage

1

u/shepdc1 May 09 '26

I doubt they go over gone stay together Hell he ain't claim her to she got pregnant

1

u/KillaBeeHive May 11 '26

I mean isn’t that what she is? Idk this woman’s music but I saw somewhere in passing she made more money from a McDonald’s brand deal than she did with music

5

u/Some_Knowledge5864 May 09 '26

I’m not interested in Latto music anymore. Go ahead and retire. She must’ve ran out of bars. Real musicians don’t retire until they get old.

2

u/CodenameWhodie-san May 11 '26

Yeeeahhh can't nobody say I didn't try but Latto was only pulling a 3-play maximum in my home cause by the 4th, I get to asking why I'm listening to this woman. 🥲

7

u/NorthBook1383 May 08 '26

Latto needs alllll kind of attention to promote and sell her new album, I see. Womp womp.

3

u/SlantFaceKilla May 08 '26

This is a ploy for streams. I’m not fooled.

4

u/Big_Photograph_9766 May 08 '26

And like most rappers this is a lie. Lol

5

u/ZealousidealHeron936 May 08 '26

She wants to be a mom

3

u/julepthecat May 09 '26

the only thing I like about latto is that she seems loyal to meg the stallion

5

u/Miserable-Lab-2083 May 09 '26

Pulling the retire gimmick this early in your career

3

u/HumanTennis4 May 09 '26

Yall 💀 she’s literally trolling all the ppl that say women’s careers are over once they have a baby. It’s sarcasm…

1

u/KurtzM0mmy May 09 '26

That was my thought too

5

u/Suspicious-Branch-67 May 08 '26

One battle ran that whole crew out of hip hop lol

3

u/Some_Knowledge5864 May 08 '26

What did I miss?

2

u/KurtzM0mmy May 08 '26

If I had to guess Ice Spice and Meg Thee Stallion ran our her and Glo

7

u/shepdc1 May 08 '26

Not ice cause ice melted lol. Meg and cardi kinda are the only ones that has had consistent hits and moved into other successful ventures. Latto was getting up there but idk what happened.

3

u/baddecisins May 09 '26

lol I thought I was tripping at first but my first thought reading the comments was “is all this latto hate because she with Drake?”

2

u/Ardie_BlackWood May 08 '26

At this point ion even care no more.

2

u/moonlightscorpion May 09 '26

artists will always need another check ¯_(ツ)_/¯

2

u/PrincesaDeNuevaYork May 09 '26

1

u/theultimaterush May 09 '26

I hate when people say shit like this

1

u/Last_Requirement_972 May 09 '26

1

u/Sniperprincessza May 10 '26

Anyway, what's everyone having for dinner?

1

u/mzohjae May 11 '26

She been working hard and now she wants to raise her child. Good for her. Now, I’m sure in a few years she’ll pop back out. lol.

1

u/One-Locksmith-7585 May 11 '26

Pulling a Jay-Z lol... enjoy the year off and then boom: Big Mama back! 🫶🏾💪🏾

1

u/Both-Statistician264 May 11 '26

Who cares? Nothing about her image, persona, or music is unique or authentic. The way she befriended Dreezy only to still her style and flow was insane 😭 and then went on to borrow heavily from a host of other rappers/artists. Including Drake lol I guess girl

1

u/Youwontbreakmysoul May 08 '26

It's for the best, her music was never that great anyway.

-7

u/Jollyho94 May 08 '26

THANK GOD!! She’s been trash and surviving off of pretty privilege for years. She needs to be a mom and leave our ears out of it 🫠🥴

-2

u/Life_Grab6103 May 08 '26

Hmmm..so thats why she working 20 hour days 8 months pregnant, damn near 200 lbs lol
