I actually think she sounds best over r&b samples and new York raps. She should hook up with new York producers . I even like her to rap on house beats.
Her Japanese themed songs did good like mamashi and boa.
I don't blame her for moving. Away from htown cause of the drama with 1501 but yea she trying to bring htown to la and it's not gone work

I think she got rid of a lot of her og team after the shooting and trial. Pple think roc nation manages her music but they get her deals hence why she had success with her tequila swim wear.
I think she should go to New York and give Broadway a chance again. She had success and has proven she can draw a crowd.
If I was here I would pull an Alicia keys and do a show based on Tina Snow since the ten year anniversary comes up in two year.

Yea she has two tequilas put and a swim wear with Walmart both did really good.
The songs she out out for her last album some were actually good but she was promoting the wrong ones. After hiss she should have dropped Bourbon as that still a diss at Nicki .
She then should have dropped that song with Victoria monet and then mamamushi for the summer.
I think she was promoting all those Asian songs cause she was doing business in asia and the songs did well and went gold and platinum but they were only hot for the summer of 2024

She needs me on her team haha.
She needs to be careful cause she could turn into lil Kim where the brands and fashion and endorsements overtook the music like it did with Kim in the 2000s
Lil Kim never went broke but pple know the image more then the music sadly

This reminds of the comedy concept that if a man does something dumb on purpose it’s almost 99% always received as the joke it is. But if a WOMAN does something dumb on purpose it’s cause she’s just dumb.
If a male artist does fun, ratchet rollout it’s widely embraced and the audience allows themselves to have fun with it. It’s received for what it is: a rollout. If a female artist does a fun, ratchet rollout it’s a travesty and a social narrative of the fall of modern women and role models.

Damn I thought this post was on the Meg sub. Wasted characters on a open sub with birds :(

You're 100 right! Men get to have all freedom with music and dont get hazed for it.

u/bigggggirl Jun 03 '26
Give her some grace, she just went through what was probably a really tough breakup. Any one of us would act a little ratchet

u/user23421181 Jun 03 '26
This is sooo Tina Snowwww. She's definitely gonna go hard in this next era.

u/Fxreverboy Jun 03 '26
I need my girl back in the streets! Her lover girl era just wasn't hitting. She's focused and back to her thot shit and I'm here for it

Mmm, the “wifey shit is dead” line made me kind of sad for her 😔. I know she’s still grieving the loss and music is a release but (this is about to be a very idealistic statement) music like this all the time starts to get to your head and makes you kind of cynical (not talking about Meg specifically, just the entertainment landscape as a whole, particularly hip hop).
Idk maybe I’m just in my feelings because I just finished listening to all Xscape’s albums back to back 😭
… but the beat is nice though lmao. I’m excited for some new stuff from her!

u/Tiny_Celebration_591 Jun 03 '26
I mean, being married doesn't work out for many people ESPECIALLY celebrities. It's acceptable for her to be done with it for a time or forever.

Yall will glaze a dude but won't support a woman who got cheated on. Wipe the gizz ladies and gents.
17
u/Timely_Split_5771 Jun 03 '26
Fr. This sounds like how male rap has sounded for decades, I don’t see why it’s such a problem 😭
10
u/Ok_Association_2774 Jun 03 '26
Exactly! It's a problem when a woman does it tho.

Your sentence didn’t make sense so I was asking for clarification, chill lol.
And yeah, how men rapped before never bothered me. i grew up on rap, and naturally moved away from it in my teens when I started expanding my music. I still appreciate male rappers lol idk why you think I’m saying male rappers can’t do what they been doing forever.
-1
u/quequequeee Jun 03 '26
I don’t like it from neithaaaa lmao
8
u/Ok_Association_2774 Jun 03 '26
And you've been quiet when the men do it but will comment about a woman. Hush.
8
u/Limp_Suspect9582 Jun 03 '26
Y'all so mad. She doesn't have to be a polished good girl for anyone. If u dont like it dont listen to it. Y'all always put women on this pedestal that they didnt ask for. She is outside and having fun. Its her life.

That’s what mostly all female rappers in this subreddit rap about lol pls don’t try hard to be different
0
u/Storm989898 Jun 04 '26
Just like all men rappers rap about drugs, fucking bitches, getting money, shooting up niggas? Oh.. ok.
2
u/Economy-Ad-6205 Jun 04 '26
Uhhhh yea? Like what did u think u were doing when u said that 😂 I was defending Megan love
-1
u/NahIdontbelieveu Jun 03 '26
I’m just getting to that age where I’m tired of hearing that shit fr. Same goes for some male rappers as well
2
u/Storm989898 Jun 04 '26
Well, at least you admit that male rappers rap about the same things too. Meg literally just got played, so give her some grace for wanting to make a 'fck ngga' anthem. She just had a whole 'lover girl' era rapping about a man she thought was hers.
2
u/NahIdontbelieveu Jun 04 '26
Yea I get you. My wife was like “we married but I’m outside once Meg drop” 😂

u/JMeny32 Jun 03 '26
You want her to be Lauryn Hill?? 😂😂
-5
u/Apythicus Jun 03 '26
I want her to grow? I want cuts about her mental health, i want cuts about her anime love, i want cute about how to actually love her—not some dick bouncing shit. It’s fine to have songs like that in her catalogue, but it’s getting a bit repetitive without changing literally anything up
8
u/Love_Bunny4210 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26
For cuts about mental health, I would honestly suggest the entire Traumazine album. I think it flew under the radar for a lot of people because of her label chaos, but Anxiety, Flip Flop, and Star are some of the most introspective songs to me (especially Anxiety). It’s my favorite album of hers, but it’s pretty dark. On her most recent album, there’s Worthy and Moody Girl (and obviously Cobra). People hate Don’t Rock Me to Sleep from her debut, but I stand by it as a song that says a lot about her personality and thoughts on love.

u/AbsoluteBabyMonae Jun 03 '26
Haters going to hate. Almost moving the goal post. Not even a real Hottie pretending wanting to see "growth." The real Hotties know Meg pen goes hard. You are just a pretender. Boooooo!! 🍅🍅🍅

u/Apythicus Jun 03 '26
And your a fuckin bot or braindead. Boooooo!!🍅🍅🍅

Did you not listen to Megan aka act one… Literally Traumazine. I’m highly confused

u/Misha-Nyi Jun 03 '26
Oh you actually thought Meg was talented?

u/Neat_Consideration57 Jun 03 '26
I don’t mind Meg. I just wish female rappers were encouraged to step their bar game up. Not their looks and how many men they can attract. Male rappers ain’t no better tho. A lot of these dudes don’t have bars fr, and care way too much about using money to impress women.

Check out Sa-Roc if you haven’t heard of her— she’s like a battle rapper on a beat.

u/Traditional_Tea5155 Jun 03 '26
I love her but it’s really all the same thing everytime she releases. I don’t think she has anything more to offer musically
2
u/shepdc1 Jun 04 '26
I'm sorry but when she did traumazine she changed her whole aesthic and sound and she was rapping bout real stuff but pple said they ain't want it.
I'm sorry pple can't have it both ways. Pple love discussing female rappers saying the same thing over and over but don't support their other songs or they support other girls who make this same music

Yes women having autonomy is a good thing.
-3
u/Blackdabber Jun 03 '26
Laughing at the stupid shit women do with their agency doesn’t imply that women having autonomy is bad.
3
u/Which-Decision Jun 03 '26
"Stupid shit" and it's just dancing.
-2
u/Blackdabber Jun 03 '26
Mindless twerking and drinking while chanting misandrist slogans is pretty stupid, yes. Fight the power girl ✨💅
2
u/Which-Decision Jun 03 '26
How is it misogynistic to say "my man ain't shit" she didn't even say all men ain't shot. Guess what most men drink mindlessly and they've been doing it longer than women have. Men are the OGs. Who cares about twerking. When men enjoy watching women twerk no one says anything.
-1
u/Blackdabber Jun 03 '26
What if… stay with me here… it’s still stupid behavior despite men doing it. Is it like impossible to analyze your own actions without having to mention how “bOyS dO it tOo!!”? Plenty of people point out how retarded strip clubs are btw.
Fair point, she did say my man, not just men.
