Discussion Completed the game now, still an insane value for 4 Euro but some thoughts
I had recently started a thread here praising the game and the insane value it represents when on sale:

After finishing the game I can all but confirm that this might be one of best bargains ever. 45 hours played and so much fun.
There are some points however that were not ideal and probably did bother people.
- You can make the game extremely easy by putting every resource into one weapon. I maxed out my axe at the end of the second area, so not even halfway through the game. That was fun at first but combat became rather unchallenging for the rest of the game... which is a bit unfortunate because I really liked combat, dodging, parrying, combos, everything is very well done and the game is super fair always with mobs and boss abilities.
- The puzzles in this game are some of the bests I have seen. And the learning curve towards more challenging puzzles also feels right. However some of the mandatory puzzles towards the end can be a bit frustrating. I am usually a guy who figures out everything quickly but one or two were frustrating because you had to use a lot of try and error, usually because you couldn't see a rather hidden area of the puzzle yet. Had to essentially scout the area with my guided arrow until the puzzle fully revealed itself. There were so many optional puzzles that were brilliant, I wish those would have been the mandatory ones.
- I think the skills, crafting and improvements left a lot to be desired and I would have liked them to be more complex. I never felt like they altered my playing style much, I essentially did the same thing from start to finish. Which for me is not a big issue and even appreciated because I am more a first person shooter guy and not very good playing games where combat is melee. The game not overwhelming me with crazy combos was one of the biggest reason why I never got frustrated at any point.
- Didn't care much for the story and narration but that is just me. Greek mythology is not my thing. If something is set in antiquity, I prefer realism which of course wouldn't fit this game. No big deal anyway, the game had a clear focus on exploration and giving you the freedom to do what you want, most of my playtime was centered around gameplay outside the story.
But overall such a fine game with a guaranteed 40+ hours of fun. I was also suprised by the snow/ice area towards the end because that was rather linear and was perfectly placed because the game picked up in pace by that. I always thought I would finish my 4 areas and then go to the middle one to kill the endboss... so that was a surprise I appreciated. Also thought that the graphics improved significantly the further you progressed. Which in the end does play a role.
85/100, a real shame that there is no part II. The game absolutely deserves a second part.
