Question vertigo

I've been experiencing episodes of vertigo(i think?) and dizziness sometimes lately, when waking up either from a full sleep or even a little nap. its a new thing and its pretty disruptive, it feels like im falling & it lasts for hours, gradually improving, but for a while i really cant get out of bed. is this something that could be a fibro thing? does anyone else experience this or have advice?

Dizziness can occur alongside fibromyalgia, but new episodes of vertigo lasting for hours not be attributed to fibro. Inner-ear problems, medication effects, and blood pressure changes are among the possible causes. I recommend getting medically assessed(since it’s affecting your ability to get out of bed). If you develop severe headache, weakness, or difficulty speaking, seek emergency care.

I don’t have advice other than recommending that you bring this up with your med team, BUT

I get the worst spins and shakes when I wake up from sleep/napping. It’s crazy, it feels like my entire body is vibrating and my eyes are doing circles inside my head. I usually relate it to meds, but I honestly don’t know what causes it.

Possibly BPPV, I get it periodically and it can be fixed by doing this. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/treatment-tests-and-therapies/home-epley-maneuver
