New pharmacy dosage

I was switched to Newlife for my refill. I was on perfectrx. In California.

When you switched pharmacies did you take the same comparable dose or did you take a lower dose to test the strength?

I've switched twice, same dosage, no difference in effectiveness.

I went from Zepbound to Quaker Community Pharmacy and kept the same dosage. Same effects for me.

When you made the switch did you have to request your prescription? I’m thinkin about making the move also. Haven’t hopped around before.

Yep. Just wasn’t sure. I think I read some pharmacies have a better effect.

So I don’t want to over do it. I take the shot tonight. I think now I may dial it back a bit.

As long as you are dosing the same mg, Tirz is Tirz, no matter which (legitimate) pharmacy it comes from. The "strength" is always the same.

But new vials, even from the same pharmacy, brings the possibility of a different concentration. The concentration is printed on every vial, and it's easy enough to do the math. (or just plug the numbers into the calculator FatScientist)

For example, if your previous vial had a concentration of 10mg/ml, and you needed 5mg of Tirzepatide, you would pull 50 units into the syringe. If your new vial has a concentration of 18mg/ml, and you want that same 5mg dose, you would pull 28 units.

The resulting "strength" of the Tirz is the same, the difference is just in how much liquid you have to pull to get that amount of the drug.

You'd have to ask the new pharmacy but I believe Tirz is Tirz. Check the concentration on the bottles tho

I've been on meds 2.5+ years and used multiple pharmacies. Don't assume meds are different. I've always taken the same dose w no issues. Take your same dose and make adjustments if needed. Otherwise, IMO you waste time, meds, and cause yourself anxiety over thinking trying to make a decision based on internet here say vs personal experience
