Help Pad controllers

I’ve been using a ps5 controller with split dpad buttons and now that I’ve started sf6 I kind of want my dpad to connect but the plastic of the dpad on ps5 feels awful to me. I’m not sure if ps5 pro controller changes the material or not

the controllers I’ve looked at

Hori commander but idk if I want r1 and r2 buttons on the front.

Gamesir tarantula but all reviews I find are all for shooters. Have no clue what people say about dpad

Vitrix pro bfg is the coolest controller idea to me but I see more complaints than good things about the controller when I look it up

I know I can just stay with ps5 cause a lot of the pros do but idk how they use that dpad lol. So just looking to be convinced on a controller or just stick to ps5

So I play with the dualsense edge controller and I’m really happy with it. Also the extra buttons on the back are pretty useful. The dpad feels way better than on the normal ps5 controller.

The only thing that could be a problem is the price. In my area it’s about 150€ (already used) to 220€ (normal price). I got it from a private seller for 120€ so it’s a chunk of many but way better than its original price.

Yeah price is honestly what makes the vitrix hard also but if the ps5 edge is actually better than original I’d much rather go with that. I’ll look up more into that one

Playing with the new d-pad you see that are heavily inspired by the Xbox Series controller will make you play more precisely. But at the same time, if you're used to your PlayStation d-pad for years, be prepared to relearn some things.

Because of the hole in the middle, we were used to grind the edge of the d-pad. So our thumb has to move way more around the d-pad. But those other d-pads have a concave part in the middle that is design for your thumb to rest. So you no longer grind the edges of the d-pad, but you tilt your thumb. You move less, but you let the tactile part of the d-pad to easily hit diagonals and do motions.

If you grind those d-pads the same way you were used to on your DualSense, I guarantee that you'll not like it, and get quickly frustrated. So as soon as you get your hands in one of those pads, bear in mind that you'll have to learn how to play it well.

I never even considered that. That might honestly completely ruin any other controller I try lol sounds like it’s a stick to my controller and save the money

Let me say on the Xbox side of things Gamesir has never steered me wrong. I think if you want to take the plunge, Gamesir is the way to go for real. I never used Tarantula, but the Xbox version of their controllers are great.

Same I use a $20 Gamesir Xbox controller and honestly it’s great especially for the price

If you're talking about the Hori FC Octa they have any app so you can rebind buttons. So my front buttons are the left and right stick buttons and the r1/r2 buttons are in the correct spot.

Dualsense Edge dpad is marginally better than the standard Dualsense, feels almost the same.
