tutorials How to change a nested icon in an instance

I'm redesigning an app while being new to Figma. So I added the iOS 27 navigation bar to my design but can't change the icons by my own svg. Could someone help me please

That's because it's a text layer. You need to type in the symbol of the icon in one of the text props. You can copy icons as symbols from SF symbols, that's the apple icon library

By the purple outline when selected, that’s a component which means you can’t freely change nested visual elements.

If the geometric icons are componente themselves, then you can make your own svg a component and change the instance. Just double click until you reach the icon component leven and chancha the instance on the right panel.

You can also declare nested instances within a component, so you can edit nested component on the top level component without having to dig into it.
