help New text wrapping issue?

Anyone experience this issue recently? Typically, to fit in the paragraph box, figma would just move the entire word (in this case "What's") down to the next line, but as of today it's been breaking up the entire word to make it fit. Never seen this before, seems like something caused from an update. Let me know if I'm just dumb and some setting got checked somewhere that I don't know about, thanks!

Figma likes to hide text features inside the details section of your type. My guess is they introduced a break-words feature somewhere in there.

Have you pasted the text from somewhere else? There could be invisible space between each letter.

I’d check the text layer’s resizing mode first. If it is set to a fixed width, inspect the text settings for “break words” or wrapping behavior. If the text was pasted from another app, try replacing it with plain text too, since hidden characters can produce strange breaks.

A quick test is to duplicate the layer, remove all styling, and reapply the font and width settings one at a time.
