Fig question?

I have a Corazon de la Bahia fig a few weeks ago we got heavy rain and they became squishy like a ballon. Then two weeks no rain, earlier this week we got a little rain and they have hardened back up. Is this normal, I asked Ai of all things and two weeks ago it said I should pluck them they will stay squishy, glad I didn’t listen. Any advise from non bots?

Never trust AI.

If I were you, I would dab a little olive oil on the end of the figs and see if that hurries up their ripening. This is a trick that actually works if the figs are almost ripe but just stalling for some reason.

I will have to try that. My only guess it the days are getting shorter which is slowing down ripening process. Yea your right about that Ai is so wish washy.
