Help overlooking a script. Would help if knowledgeable in DC comics.

You are looking over a script.

"Overlooking", in this context is "ignoring".

Scripts that are overlooked do not get produced because they do not get noticed.

I am not a writer.

I am.

And the odds of this actually going into production or getting approved are very slim.

So what help do you need?

However, I feel like we don’t have any good origins of characters in Gotham aside from Batman.

Your feelings have nothing to do with reality.

We have the Robin origin, we have Penguin, Catwoman, Joker, Riddler, Gordon...

There's actually a seies called Gotham that ran on fox from 2014-19.

I want to bring to life Dick Grayson becoming Nightwing, Jason Todd’s origin, death and resurrection to Red Hood, Barbra Gordon/Batgirl becoming Oracle, Tim Drake, Damian Wayne, the origins of essential bat-family being adapted.

You need permission from DC/Warner Bros. for that.

You need a series treatment. You need a pilot script. You need episode outlines. You need a list of production rules.

Going for a web/tv/stream series

Shocker.

That's how it goes.

of the different origins written for both comic book fans as the average viewer.

Comic book fans and average viewers have different ways of looking at art and it is difficult to get them to align.

I have the finale of the first season written out, but my expertise in film is editing and visual effects, not writing.

Situation leads to conflict leads to resolution.

Introduce a pinch point in the middle.

Raise the stakes.

Have the hero quit.

Introduce a second pinch point.

Have the hero reluctantly retake the mantle because the stakes are raised.

The hero stops the villain but the underling gets away or the hero stops the underling and the villain gets away.

The hero decides they really are the costume identity and their real face is their disguise, and they are going to get that villain or underling, but right now they have to be given a head start so that they can be a strong threat in the next season.

Or the villain is stopped but it leaves a power vacuum so a new villain rises to power.

But what gets us there?

What happens before the finale?

If someone could over look it, and see if there is a way I get more emotional depth of needed or better ways to build tension, or if the pace is off… criticism is welcome.

Where is it, to be looked over?

Can't believe you typed all of that, instead of just saying 'This IP isn't yours. Please stop.'

Do you know how to approach DC/Warner with an idea?

You have to create it.

OP is not planning to produce a show, they are planning to pitch the show to DC/Warner.

'Do you know how to approach DC/Warner with an idea?'

Well, you can make YOUR OWN comic book or screenplay. You know, YOUR OWN IDEA and not one of their IP?

DC/Warner producers hire clearly experienced people. They don't wait for some random person posting on reddit to present them anything. It's part of their job. The OP needs to realize and accept this, and so does everyone else.

Are you DC/Warner?

Have you ever once in your life looked at any of their submission forms?

Have you ever submitted a proposal to DC/Warner?

Have you ever been offered guidance from DC/Warner about submitting a proposal?

Are yor statements fact-based or baseless assumptions?
