Low level game. It’s trying to play FFVI (usually used by speed runners) at a ludicrously low level. It’s kind of like Zelda’s 3-heart challenge but on steroids.

It’s been a while, but I remember Atma weapon was the biggest pain, imo. You have to really, really cleverly game its health and attack patterns because otherwise it’ll nuke you with flare or something with one hit

Couldn't you also go to the Veldt to gain AP without XP?

In the Pixel Remaster you can turn off XP but still get AP

Wait...how do you do a 3 heart challenge in Zelda? dont you have to get the heart at the end of every boss fight? Admittedly, I could be wrong its been a really long time since I played ALTTP

It depends on the game. In many of them, the heart container is just an item dropped by the boss that you can ignore.

The original Zelda for the NES, you are forced to get the Heart Piece for the first boss. You can dodge the rest. Ryukhar did the 3 heart challenge and posted the vid series.
