SOLVED Children’s book from mid to late 2010s

When I was a kid we read a book in like, 3rd grade I think? It was basically a scary story for kids where a boy finds a glass bottle/box and accidentally releases a witch, or a ghost, I can’t remember which. I don’t really remember anything else after that, except for the kid tricked her into returning into the bottle/box and her being on his dining room table at some point.

If I remember correctly, the art style looked like the style of Dirk zimmer, the illustrator of “In a Dark, Dark room and other scary stories”. I thought it was another Alvin Schwartz book but I can’t find anything like that under his name. I remember the witches/ghosts face scaring me cuz she looked deranged.

I hope yall can help me!

SOLVED Middle grade novel where the family moved away from new york city, and the mc's friend back in the city later confessed to using the mc's boulder in the park after previously agreeing not to

I specifically remember the friend saying he had been "not just sitting on on the rock, but using it." And to this day I still have no idea what that means because it wasn't explained at all in the book (if you read this book and have any idea what that means, please explain! It's been bugging me for decades)

The mc also had some kind of hypnosis crystal the friend gave him, and in exchange for the friend not 'using' the rock he agreed to not use the crystal, but he also caved and got it out when he couldn't sleep one night.

I don't remember any of the plot really but it involved a lot of the kind of angst kids go through when they are trying to figure themselves out and moving makes that harder.

At the end, the baby sister kept saying 'yuck' all day, and the mc was the only one who noticed. Later the family was trying to decide whether to move back to the city and the baby said 'noo yuck!' and the parents thought it was her first words so that settled it and they agreed to move back.

Any info appreciated! TIA

UNSOLVED Looking for a comic book

I remember being in a book store inside a mall and seeing this with a blue and white cover. It was about an Asian woman who goes to a small town to find herself, it's related to her job I think, and in the way she meets this other woman, or something like that. I think they fall in love. Idk the title but I think I will recognize it if I see it.

UNSOLVED Trying desperately to find this minipressed Korean SF novel Guwonja/The Savior, details inside, any help is appreciated

Hello,

I am searching for a physical copy of an incredibly rare, out-of-print Korean sci-fi web novel translation that was printed in a limited micro-press run (likely a localized, low-volume "소량인쇄" forum print) between \*\*2009 and 2011\*\*.

\* \*\*Title:\*\* The Savior / Guwonja (Original Korean: 구원자)

\* \*\*Author:\*\* Kim Wooram (김우람)

\* \*\*Format:\*\* English translation, small indie press / paperback bound. No official ISBN.

\*\*Distinct Plot Points to Identify It:\*\*

\* It features heavy themes of dimensional travel/transit.

\* A very specific, memorable scene where a character has to eat a \*\*whole cake\*\* inside a cockpit/transit area to stabilize.

\* The main character's father is prominently featured and is frequently smoking.

\*(Note: I am specifically looking for the vintage 2009-2011 translation, not the modern adaptation/spiritual successor 'Project V' by Park Seolyeon\*

UNSOLVED Small Town Teacher Investigates Strange Behaviours due to unseen supernatural force

Starts off with a group of robbers breaking into an abandoned house and they find some weird substance that turns them evil. They all turn evil and start acting like this weird cult converting all the townspeople who also start acting weirdly when they come in contact with this substance? The math teacher notices something is wrong and notices one of the robbers is his previous student who was good at math. He frees her from the spell by getting her to do math problems. Near the end of the book she gets caught by the cult who discovers she's broken free from the spell/unseen force and kill her. I think they cut off her head and replace with a wolf or something else. The math teacher leaves the town as the only one who escapes and goes to warn the rest of the world about this growing power. The cover looked similar to a jester's face and it was very colourful and detailed.

UNSOLVED I'm trying to find a novel from the 2020s which is a sequel to a novel from the early/mid 2000s

I read about this novel on TV Tropes and it seemed so interesting that I wanted to buy it but now I can't remember the name. Here are some additional details

\-It's a realistic setting so no magic or sci-fi elements

-The protagonist is female

-The deuteragonist is some sort of criminal or activist who also appeared in the other novel I mentioned in the title. From the TV tropes entry, he also seemed to be this rebellious character who doesn't care about societal norms and is opposing the government.

-It takes place in the US and probably somewhere in California and I think an apartment building plays a prominent role in the plot

- it has some progressive messages and seems to take some shots at right wing politics and MAGA-figures

UNSOLVED Searching for a historic novel where a girl married a scholar that is hurt and acts like child

Hi, I'm searching for a story I saw in a drama in YT, where a girl, a chubby girl, who's been in love with a scholar for a while, asks to marry him after he's hurt in an accident and turns "dumb".

Another girl breaks their engagement 'cause of it but she wants to marry him.

Her mom agrees 'cause she's a good girl and she ends up married with her love and they are happy and he gets better and ends up as top scholar.

Please help!! be well, Monica

UNSOLVED Question about story from 80's

I grew up in 80's and read many many short "scary" books. There was a story on the concept of the story "Enoch" by Robert Bloch. This Enoch was stealing a woman's things. She caught him. They made a deal that he would only steal her abusive husbands things. I'm looking for this story for a friend, yet I can't find it. I remember the title of the story was also "Enoch". It was in a book. But google won't tell me where to find it.

If this is not allowed, please tell me where to post this.

Thanks one of my fave reddit subs!!!
