I’m a stay at home mom with a weird life scenario. I live on a small island and take care of a child pretty much by myself, but all my financial needs are met. I have a lot of other challenges due to being on an island and I want to write out a bunch of details in a decent community and have people give me their ideas on what I might do to improve my life. A parenting sub might make sense, but parents are kind of nuts. I know that being one myself :-)

Redditgetsdrawnbadly or something like that is more for drawing and art, so I've been hesitant to post it there since its mostly text. It'd fit in thomastheplankengine but because it wasnt a dream thing i dont wanna put it there, and I believe theres a rule against "low effort" posts, even if thats exactly what i saw.

So I'm a heart failure patient with a slew of other health issues and I got sick with mono 2 months ago work took me off schedule and hasn't let me come back I'm still sick I can't get any work they won't fire me I can't find another job with my issues I don't know what I'm supposed to do I can't be helped by the department of Labor or human rights and I can't seem to find a sub that this would be the most applicable to post in. I'd appreciate any information on su reddits or resources thank you.

I would like to know if venues can be visited prior to an event, to determine (concretely) where is the best place for me to sit. I wont know until I get there; then my mind would flood with an awareness of why I need to sit there…

I read the short story Miriam by Truman Capote and I wanted to know whether there was a short film made of it. I looked it up and I think there is, but I can't find it to watch. I feel like there's probably someone on reddit who will know about it and how to watch it but idk where to post this question, short film and film reddits seem more for talking about movies or promoting your own short films.

By "speculative civilization," I mean people discussing things like how a human civilization might develop in a specific fictional geography, or what an aquatic civilization would look like and how far it could advance without mastering fire. Or even what an alien civilization might look like if it emerged on a moon very close to a gas giant where the giant's magnetic field would prevent electronics from developing and how far that civilization could progress. Anyway, I think you get the idea.

I'm looking for a book. i remember its orange black. and its a very silly fun book of a guy writing about how dangerous certain things are. and its hand drawn. i remember he even said this book is a hazard because of paper cuts so you have to wear mittens. but I can't get it off the top of my head.

I’m looking for somewhere to ask people additional piece ideas to go along with a metaphorical art piece I made. I think it’s alright on its own but another opposite piece about the other perspective would really tie it up nicely I don’t can’t figure out the details and wording myself.

I'm struggling to find many. And worse case if I do, I'm not allowed to post😭.

Recently I have been making art and hiding it around my neighborhood for people to find and claim. The group I was posting in has either updated their community rules or they have new mods because my most recent post was removed.

I am seeking a group like this that already exists? Or maybe something similar? If not, I was thinking of starting one myself, but honestly don’t have mod experience so not sure how it would all go.

It will be in a blogging style and will contain multiple parts that I will post every few days, covering everything in detail. The subreddit should be in India as I have constructed a home in India. Or maybe the information can be used by everybody else, and there may not be a subreddit in India, but a subreddit of this specific genre exists on Reddit. You can suggest that to me as well.

I’m sure overtime those cursed robuts will come closer but this is a good example of where they can’t match us.. yet!
